Who cares. Bruins and Leafs won a lot of Cups too, but oh yeah... you don't hear them bragging about those past Cup wins.

Hahaha!, we have not won the cup in Toronto since 1967, we have hardly anything to brag about even if we tried lol.

Also did anyone notice that all but one of the original six made it into the playoffs this year?..yea all but, Toronto haha.

I tip my hat to Ovi, he plays reckless but gives 150% every night on every shift regardless. Dont hang your head Caps fan this team will be there again shortly. Why must we? I like the Bruins as much as the Canes. Both teams are pretty much even in terms of being dangerous.

Wow, assumptions can be had by the dozen here. I actually like the Oilers as much as I like the Canucks.

My NHL teams are 1. Pittsburgh, followed by 2. Detroit (but not so much now that Yzerman and Konstantinov are long retired)... Granted I always liked the Pens more than Detroit by a significant margin.

Don't get pissy that your city loses it over making it to a Cup Final.... I saw the BS that went down. Very unclassy. If Winnipeg does that with the Moose I'll be embarrassed.

So what if the Oilers won 5 Cups. That was decades ago. The team now is not even a shell of that team. 1990 was 19 years ago. Who cares. Bruins and Leafs won a lot of Cups too, but oh yeah... you don't hear them bragging about those past Cup wins. Winnipeg won Avco Cups and may have won a Stanley Cup if the NHL hadn't tore the Jets apart in fears that a once WHA powerhouse could dominate and beat the NHL's best.

So live in the present.

P.S. I like you too. Nothing against Edmonton. Was just stating a fact. I would dump on my city too if the fans got stupid like that and started burning and looting the streets. It's just a sport. Some people take this stuff way too far sometimes.

You missed my point Eli, I am not bitter about missing a championship in 2006 and am not living in the past. I was giving you an example of a classy hockey town with alot of great history. Thats all. This city has its bad apples like any other city, that night they all came out at once.

Gotcha, and yes I agree. Your city has a rich history of Champions. 5 Stanley Cups. Bunch of Eskie Grey Cups as well. Definitely more than Winnipeg has ever achieved. All their championships are in teams or leagues that have folded. Atleast your past Championship teams still exist to this day. It was horrible what went down in 2006, and I was happy for either Carolina or Edmonton to take it. That was a great series. Didn't you guys come back from a 3 game series deficit to tie it at 3 apiece, only to lose in Game 7? Either way that was a phenomenal series. Very close one... you and Calgary were just a game away from winning the Cup in 04 and 06.

I wished my city had your luxury. Even still, I am happy that the Moose are on the verge of what looks to be their first ever Cup.... they are so dominate this season. Everything is going right for them, and now the Canucks have just assigned us the No. 1 hockey prospect in the world, Cody Hodgson. I am so happy! It is so great to be a hockey fan! My Pens advanced. My Moose are in the third round vs. Houston with Hodgson now on board. My keeper team in my fantasy league finally won a Championship after nearly 10 years of being a Bride's maid. This is my favorite year for hockey!

Before the playoffs started the Ducks were 66-1 to win the cup.. now they are 3-1 last time I checked.
