You missed my point Eli, I am not bitter about missing a championship in 2006 and am not living in the past. I was giving you an example of a classy hockey town with alot of great history. Thats all. This city has its bad apples like any other city, that night they all came out at once.

Yeah, that crap on Whyte was really a misrepresentation of the Oiler's fan base. Considering our only professional, national team across sports is the Oilers (no MLB, NBA, NFL), and how long it had been since we had a serious run at the cup, a lot of band waggon'ing losers came out of the wood work 'just cause'. Add in said maniacs getting sauced up at the countless bars, pubs and clubs on that avenue and it was a recipe for shame.

He didn't really look at it from that perspective. We're just happy to have a team to play against in these playoffs that give us home advantage. lol
