Nintendo Punchout for WII

I'm really enjoying this game as well, but, I'm stuck at Super Macho Man. I can knock him down a few times, but, then he does the "PUMP IT" or "SUPER MACHO MAN" and knocks me right out...

How do I counter that? Or stop it? What's the trick.

Ok i want to get this for my kid (and me). Got good reviews, anyone else still thinks it's good after all this time?

this game is probably best in the series. Fighting Donkey Kong is pretty tough.
