Guys...we're getting a new zelda and a brand new mario in the same year. on top of mario kart + splatoon 2. This 1st year is already shaping up to be way better than wii u.

I hope not. :lol

Seriously though, I feel the same way.
Nintendo MUST support this thing with 1st party titles.

Wii-u was loaded with first party titles though. It's just not have another generic third party FPS like other consoles.

Most of those first party titles were "meh", apart from Splatoon & a couple others. Does Hyrule Warriors count?

There are a lot of good first party games for it.

Bayonetta 2
Mario 3D World
Mario Kart
Smash Bros.
Mario Maker
Donkey Kong TF
Pikmin 3
New Super Mario bros.
Xenoblade
Wonderful 101
Zelda TP HD
Zelda WW HD

Only problem with Nintendo is that we might not get another nice Mario or Zelda for this system. Maybe a Metroid? So you've gotta hope for some 3rd party support.

There will probably be another Zelda closer to the end of the switch's life cycle. Unless nintendo plans to make all zelda's from here on out as massive as BOTW.

It's highly unlikely that Xenoblade will come out this year, considering how things have gone in the past
I'm all over the next Xenoblade Chronicles game. I just hope they get rid of all the farming. I want to be able to just buy things using the regular currency of the game.

If an ingredient is suppose to be rare, just make it more expensive to purchase.
I found myself trying to kill the same creature over and over again just to get 1 ingredient.

Towards the end of the game, I found myself with a boat-load of credits and miranium... and still couldn't build what I wanted. :gah:

Early reviews are disappointing. It won't run Zelda smoothly on a TV at 900p, you cannot have it plugged in while it's on the kickstand, and there are significant hidden costs in the form of the pro controller and additional chargers. This looks like a promising start for the Switch, but I'll be joining all of you when they release a 'new Nintendo Switch' that can capably run its own games.

Zelda currently sits at 98 on metacritic after 44 reviews. Holy crap. Must purchase lots of Red Bull. I can't do all nighters anymore but I'm gonna try.

Has anyone ordered the Switch through gamestop.com? I pre-ordered back when the system was available and I'm expected to get my Switch and BOTW delivered tomorrow but I still haven't received a tracking number or any updates on my order.

Mine's shipped from Amazon and should be delivered tomorrow along with Zelda Collector's Edition.

I've been playing Zelda

And trust me it is the best in the series

Total game changer

Everything that the previous should've been

Mechanics are perfect

Zelda will be GotY easily (Horizon is a close contender)

The WiiU handles it beautifully

I expect the Switch version to be even better
