The drought may be over next week: Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter, Need For Speed Most Wanted, and Punch Out should all hit the Wii U.
Before the peanut gallery starts screaming "poooooooorrrrrrtttttt!!!!!" about NFS, Criterion has said they've gone through a lot of trouble to make this Wii U version unique. I guess there is off-TV play as well as a "co-pilot" mode where one person could drive using a Wii Remote while the co-pilot changes the environment using the gamepad. Also, this is supposed to be the first third party game to feature "full Miiverse integration", whatever that means.
Umm....the post right above you has a video of the NFS gameplay features.
I'm pretty sure it'll be Monster Hunter. At least from a sales point of view.
Only in Japan
There's only 4 million consoles worldwide, so probably not that much.
That number will change regardless, but there's just not that much consoles out there for it to do amazing, which is why publishers seem to be avoiding the console.
EDIT:
Actually, it's much lower:

And considering that U.S. console sales are higher than Japan.
...the rest of the year looks like it's gonna be dry.
Anyone pick up Lego City yet? It got decent (8.0) reviews on IGN.
I got it, and it's a lot of fun but something has to be done about those awful loading times. I'm not exaggerating when I say the loading times are the longest I've seen in generations.
Does it do that often? It's an open map style game, right?
