For me, Rayman blows Pikmin away. Don't get me wrong, I loved Pikmin 3, it's one of the best looking console game I've ever seen, and I'm still going back to find all the fruit, I'm just having way more fun with Rayman.

They're such different games that it's probably silly to go into a detailed comparison, so I'll leave it at that. I should probably mention that platformers are my gaming genre of choice, so my view may be skewed a bit.

That's a fair assessment between the two and I also have a feeling I will enjoy this game more than Pikmin 3. I found all the fruit and enjoyed every one of the 61 days (on the Pikmin timescale :)).

Wish Amazon would sell the Zelda Wii U.

Newegg has it for sale but has a distribution center in the state I live in so I'd have to pay taxes.

Wind Waker?

I've never played it, so that was my push to get the Wii U. It just looked too good to pass up.

I played the hell out of Wind Waker already. One of those long games that make you happy it's over. The ending is worth all of the pain (though I've heard they took most of that pain out of the WiiU version).

Anyone needing Wii U accessories check out Best Buy. They have the white pro controllers on clearance for $34.99 and the silicone covers for the gamepad on clearance for $8.99. Grabbed a blue, red and black cover.

Clearance price update, $4.99 for silicone covers and $24 for white pro controllers at Best Buy.

I'm pretty excited about Wii Fit U. I don't get the thinking behind the Wii Sports re-release at $9.99 per sport though. That seems crazy expensive. And why have online play on Wii Sports but not Super Mario 3D World (you know, a game designed around multiplayer)?

Here's the whole presentation. The first minute and a half is pretty funny.

I was reading about the new Wii U sports yesterday, but when I got to the part that said $9.99 per game, I moved on to the next subject.

Prices don't seem bad to me. I'm willing to pay $9.99 for just the bowling. Heck, if they included all of them for $39.99 I'd probably just play the bowling anyways.

System or game? I got excited to pick up the game yesterday only to find that the disc version won't be available until 10/4.

System, which comes with a downloadable version of the game. But you can also download it now without the system but have to wait until October 4th for the physical disc.

So I just got a Wii U yesterday and I was wondering if there are any free downloads in the eShop worth checking out. I already downloaded Animal Crossing Plaza.

Nintendo's latest Wii U firmware update is stuffed with additions, including the ability to play Wii games on the GamePad screen - although Wiimotes are still required to control them. The 4.0.0 U update is live, so you can download and install it right now.

Standing out among the various features and tweaks is the ability to plug a headset directly into the GamePad for Wii U Chat, and being able to take screenshots and upload them through the Internet browser during gameplay.

The 4.0 update also adds USB keyboard support, Surround Sound support for Wii games, the option to automatically download recommended software and demos via SpotPass, and even the ability to view PDF files in the browser, and more besides.

Version 4.0.0 U, available via an Internet connection, includes the following improvements:

Users can choose to output to the TV and GamePad, or just the TV

² Users can delete saved usernames and passwords from the Internet Browser settings.

³ Sometimes data may not be displayed correctly depending on the size and format of the PDF file. PDF files cannot be saved.
