Once apon a time, there were 3 toy companies. Sideshow Collectibles, Medicom, and Hot Toys.

These three companies lived in peace and harmony for years.

Then.....

With the advent of Internet Message Boards, nutswingers from their respective companies tarnished the once great legacy of these great companies.

Through their own blinded faith the nutswingers "defended" their manufactures of choice.

Little did they know these companies need not be defended.

Nutswingers from all sects would converge in these message board threads and attempt to make good points and win arguments, to which nothing productive ever took place.

To this day, these nutswingers, waste endless hours disputing the greatness of their choice toy company.

Perhaps one day peace will once again rule the lands of these message boards.

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE! :rock

you know how to settle this. just be a collector and be thank ful hasbro is not back to making 12 inch figures for us...2008 will probably be a great year in terms of starwars coming from medicom ,sideshow and maybe hot toys. coud they be the ones who will give us our 16 inch furry chewbacca. this woud be cool. i am satisfied by what is coming. just be patient..

I love Medicom toys, but they are WAY too careful w/ their business decisions. If they make Leia, she might not sell as well as Luke! Can't do that... if they make Han - maybe HE won't sell as well as Luke, either! Scratch that, too...

Their thought process is a bit flawed, or they just feel that they can take their time - or that one or two figures is enough from each franchise (I know they've made more than two characters for SPIDEY and STAR WARS, but you know what I mean...).

My point is - I don't think they take any risks. i.e. they're scared of losing a bit of money on any business venture.

Sideshow and Hot Toys, however... I won't go there, but I hope my point comes across pretty clear....:monkey3

It's true that they dont take much risks in their decision making but they have other liscence to keep up with.

However, Medicom makes more than star wars or spiderman figures. I dont think there's another 1/6 company that announces 5-10 new figures on a monthly basis.

I think this topic has been covered more recently and more thoroughly in many, many, many, many other threads. So say hello to mr. lock!
