So with all these bad associations and bad judgements, why do you think it is that he is leading in every major poll significantly? Is it the black vote (can't be, he is leading in many states with few AAs)? Why are the Republicans losing ground in states they usually win, such as North Carolina and Florida? Is it Palin? Is it the economy? Is it because everyone can't see these things, or because people don't care about those things? Just curious what people's thoughts are.

Because he is a good speaker. And he don't tell the whole truth, just partial. Well thats just my opinion.

3 weeks is a long time and I do honestly believe this still race is closer than most think right now, but certainly you're not poo-poo'ing Obama's chances?

Seriously? I've been asking myself the same questions. I know you and alot of others are supporters of his, and I don't see why.

I am a blue collar worker. No college degree, just a high school diploma. I'm not a genius, but it seems clear to me, that there is no way financially for his tax plan to not drive the already fragile U.S economy into the ground.

I used gas prices as an example before. Gas went up and all services that used gas in anyway had to increase their prices to make a profit. Who did that affect? Everyone.

Now greatly increase taxes on small business and the top 5%. What's going to happen? They need to raise prices, stop expansion, cut benefits to continue their profit margin.

Everything that I've ever linked to is put off as some right-wing conspiracy. Again, I bring up the military where he is on video saying how he is going to slash military spending my Billions. In case anyone isn't paying attention, Russia is seriously flexing it's military muslce as of late, not the best time to cut military spending.

I've made my point many times about the second ammendment. Obama says he is pro second only because he knows if he comes across as anti-gun, he has no chance, yet his voting record on the second is horrendous. I could cut and paste what he has voted for and against on the second, but I will here about how it is a cut and paste and not true, blah, blah.

Let my ask you a question and please give me a serious answer. If I got on here and started talking about a church I have attended for 20 years, and said that the pastor was my mentor and my spiritual advisor. Now say a couple of videos pop up from my church. These videos go on about black America ruining this country, and the country starting to be taken over by the rich black man and we need to stop it. What would you think of me or my church?

I've posted all this before. It doesn't matter, I don't know why people idolize him. Maybe in a year from now, I will post on here and say wow, I was wrong about him but from what I see and what my instinct tells me, I think most on here will probably regret voting for him.

That's actually pretty close to the mark, imho. A lot of people have fallen for Obama (and I say fallen, because it's almost High School crush-like in some quarters, particularly in the media) because he's charismatic, eloquent, and says all the right push-button talking points. Also, his mantra of "change" goes right to the heart of those who are not satisfied with the war and the way things are domestically right now. But beyond that, there really isn't much there. And what is there (his record) is pretty disconcerting.

Double standard, I agree. I don't pretend to know what it is like growing up AA in that time though. I don't personally disagree with what you are posting, but I think it is time for drastic change. Honestly, as it has been said before, no one is going to change anyone's mind on here. The Obama people will vote for him and the McCain people will vote for him (and the Nader, Barr people etc). This is why I just want this election season to be over. I mean, let's all see what happens, then deal with the guy we are given. We really need to work hard to fix the problems our country faces. Can we all agree on that?

I will say this. While most people may not agree with their policies, I believe both candidates want the best for the country. What they believe is best differs, of course, based on their ideologies.
