Obi-Wan Kenobi from Episode 1? or ep.2 or ANH

I just can't get enthusiastic about much from AOTC... for me the weakest of the series (but still good ) but not many of the characters really stand out as ones I need to own. I think there are only 3 figures I would want who either began or where only in AOTC: Jango, Dooku and a Clone Trooper.

the hasbro one of dooku is almost deadon, a repaint would fix that

Yeah, but still not Sideshow... I'm pretty sure there's will be as good, or probably better sculpt, but at the very least the outfit, articulation and accessories will be.

AOTC was my favorite of the prequels, but I can do without Mullet-Wan Kenobi, and I hated TPM so I don't want anyone from that one.

Oh yikes. I'm opposite of you because i thought AOTC was the absolute worst (thanks mostly to Hayden), so I'll probably try to skip as many Ep2 versions of everyone as possible. But man... if I need to get Ep2 Obi-Wan and Anakin to match with an Arena Padme, I might have to just get EVERYTHING.

Right now though, I think an Ep1 Obi-Wan would be the best to come now since we already have Qui-Gon and Darth Maul on the way.

There's absolutely nobody from ANH yet but I think Old Ben would be a great introductory figure to that film.

i vote for all 3. anh then ep 1 then the ep 2 version. it would be cool to have the ep 1 version though just so maul would have someone to kick in the face constantly.

With Qui-Gon and Maul on the way, I do want the padawan Obi-Wan to pose with them.

But old "Ben" Kenobi is a must-have, without a doubt.

I voted for all of them but I'd want EI Obi first...er, next. How can you have a Maul without someone to cut him in half as he just stand there?!? :maul

Next in line for me would be AOTC Obi to stand back to back with Mace or to go up against the eventual Jango.

And I want an old Ben eventually but I don't really care how long it takes to make him.

a couple misc. thoughts I had while typing this...

1. is it ever explained anywhere why he starts referring to himself as Ben? I guess it could be to stay hidden from the empire but even as a little kid I thought it was stupid for him to only change half his name.

2. I always thought it was kind of funny that Mace told Obi Wan to capture Jango, thus making it difficult for Obi to defeat him, but then as soon as Mace went up against Jango it was "take no prisoners." Just like a boss to do that.

Old Ben is a given. I'd bet my entire collection we get one of him.

I imagine Ep. 1 is also close to a given. I don't think they'd give us 2/3 of that fight and not finish it. I could live without an Ep. 2 Obi but wouldn't complain that much. I'd rather have one in Clone armor from Clone Wars before the AOTC version.

AOTC is the only movie i haven't seen yet but i've heard of yoda's fury there.
but he also goes balistic in ep 3

Am I the only one who thinks that the spikey hair style Obi-Wan has in Episode 1 might pose some problems for Sidehow?

Speaking of Spikey, Subway Spike had the same type of hair and look how he turned out.

The Hasbro version of EP1 Obi-Wan looked like he had an short afro.

We definitely need a TPM Obi Wan and a sheet of red transparent acrylic as his exclusive to seperate him from Maul and Qui Gon.

I think I'd much rather have the Old Ben version. But I'd want him to come with Anakin's lightsaber too.

Other than that I think TPM Obi-Wan would be a good choice and might even entice me to get Qui-gon, though I'm right now really considering it.

AotC is my least favorite of his looks, but if they did make one, he should come with an extra head with wet hair! That be really sweet for when Jango comes out!

i've said i want a TPM since the qui gon was announced. it pretty much seals the deal with the maul on the way as well. im sure sideshow will get around to him later. there are so many other characters to get before they start repeating good old ben.
