If you enjoyed some of the pics that were shared, you will be blown away by this piece. Truly one of SS best IMO.
And if you are lucky enough to score a saber hilt from myc, it makes it that much sweeter!

Yeah, let's get you guys hyped: I was also amazed by this statue when I first saw it and made the pre-order...but when I finally got it in hand, well there is no comparison. It's 100 times more beautiful in person. There are no words except three: "Piece" "Of" "Art".

I agree. This piece stands out from everything I own. his stance shows context and the weathering and details really show character depth. I love this line of products. You can't fully appreciate these pieces until in-hand.

I love the detail on this piece. Would you pick this one up or the Gammorean? i can only afford one at the moment and while i prefer Obi with the gammorean having a lower edition size and practically sold out at sideshow would you recommend getting that first?

If Sideshow really does still have more I'd get Gammy first but both are fantastic. I keep flip flopping on which I like more.
I don't have Obi yet so I can't compare but I love the Gammorean a lot and there were fewer made so you may want to get it first.

Sideshow show really did a fantastic job with this one. Im not into statues but this is one I'd love to have.

The details are great! Better than PF. Seems like the smaller the better the details. Is that just me or is this true? Same with snake eyes. The maquette was so detail it was Better than an PF I own as far as detail sculpts.

Other than the hilt mod addition, has anyone touched up the paint, or repainted this (not to denigrate sideshow efforts)? I may add gloss the eyes if it needs it.

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Desert Nomad Mythos 1:5 Statue 1438/2000 - Sideshow
I saw all the pics from the first batch so I thought I was prepared but WOW! 0_0
First of all the box is big and the cloak is freaking HUGE! He ways a ton too so he's pretty scary to carry and put in and out of base. Mine came pretty much flawless aside from a few very minor things and he's very impressive all around. The lean that I was concerned about from the pics is a non-issue, all the attachments are cool (he should really come with an instruction leaflet), the faces are perfect!!
Sadly still no saber hilt and seeing the piece in hand it really feels like it's lacking without it. I played with the lightsaber blade to see if it could come off but it broke almost right away, which is fine with me because I prefer it unlit and I can always glue it back on if I want.
He's really REALLY hard to decide how to display! Both heads are so perfect and fit so well with the statue... at first I thought Guiness because he's classic Obi-Wan but the McGregor head is so freaking good... Basically for me I think it's Guiness head with the open head I'm-looking-away-from-that-gust-of-sandy-wind-and-shielding-myself-with-my-hand or McGregor head with unlit saber hand I-just-noticed-some-sand-people-in-the-distance-let's-be-cautious.
