Agree, it looked so awesome at the shows. But if it's the same price point as Maul (and it will be or even higher) this is out of my reach.

After SS dropped the ball with the size of Mauls Saber hilt, I would be concerned the screw something up on Kenobi.

Anyway - back on topic: Got a spot all picked out for the desert nomad.

There are numerous dangers in the Jundland Wastes and The Dune Sea. Dangerous animals, sandpeople, bandits, scavengers, etc.

Really? I'm not a fan. I'm getting all except the Gammy. I'm not sure why he doesn't click with me; whether it's the statue itself or maybe because he's such a secondary character compared to the other four?

actually there's not much gammy sold out there. Some people buy it coz they need it to complete their collection, and some buy it coz its "rare"

I think there are five types of collectors...mainstream, source fans, pervs, addicts, and artistic appreciators. Then there's ppl like me who's a mix of all five. I think you're right about the SW line...Talon and Shaak are virtually unheard of outside the EU yet probably the most recognized and sought after SW pieces when looking at their forum threads because of the tna.

Although a secondary character, I remember as a kid thinking the gammys looked so cool. I had like four of the original chubby hasbros and I'd set them up all around jabba. One got eaten by the rancor every time...poor bastards. You'd think they'd learn.

They are indeed very iconic. Still, not cool looking and that. That's why Boba Fett became so popular as well, by the way.

On the other hand, the Gammy 1:1 bust seems to be a very rare and sought after piece. Maybe because it has a more movie-likeness? It invites collectors that are more into props and that because it's a life-size representation of the on-screen character.

I was looking at all the Mythos again this morning after chatting with Sideshow to find out the estimated delivery of my Maul, and was noticing that the Obi-Wan was missing from all the pages as a companion piece. So, it turns out he just went...

Waitlist!

Seems I made a mistake on which ones to order first. Well, I already placed a waitlist order for him, and I'd almost guarantee that I'll have a converted order within just a few days, if not even later today or early tomorrow. It is Thursday after all, so the newsletter is going out later, and I'm sure SS is bolstering sales by putting up the mythical wait list...

Well, I fell for it of course!

Wo! I haven't preordered it yet, luckily the stores here around should still have it, but this was unexpected. Thought that a lot of people were still on the fence with the whole line.

I thought this line could only be ordered directly from Sideshow. What stores have you been able to get a Mythos piece from? And concerning the "wait list," I've got a feeling it's not really selling out just yet, before even dropping. I just think SS is attempting to drum up a few more orders and create interest in the line. I've seen them do it before.

Even very recently, they stated only a few Snow Trolls were left, and now, even with only 500 produced, that piece is gift card eligible and in stock without even a low quantity alert. Shenanigans!

I live in Italy and there are a few stores that import the pieces, I'm sure they have a couple of Mythos available 'cause nobody here trust SS anymore lol, people always tend to wait before preordering, so they can see how the final product turns out.
"It's the only way to be sure" (and even then....)

I feel lucky 'cause I'm gonna preorder the Gamorrean and see how it turns out with Obi Wan.

EDIT: and, just to say. We have a change of almost 1:1 from USD to Eur, stores here list the Gamorrean at 309€ and Obi Wan at 349€, sigh.

Kind of surprised to hear he waitlisted already. 2000 is quite a few at that price range. If Vader gets a similar ES, he'll go quick as well, I'm willing to bet.
