I have to admit, his hair color and beard do now seem a bit dark. Maybe its just the SS photos once again. Hopefully in person he'll have the usual highlights in his hair like Anakin does.

The robe, and tunic, are a much better color now though.

I think alot of that is the photographer. IMO he just isn't very good at capturing things in 1/6.

That being said, the hair is darker than the SDCC proto, but (as I said in another board) I have come to expect thats there is always a loss of detail/quality from Proto to prod.

I was really hoping that the paint on this figure would look more like the prototype...especially with as long as it has taken to get it ready for shipping. I'm still happy with the figure, but would be happier if the paint on the hair/beard was lighter. I also think that I like the eyes on the prototype better, but I will hold full judgement on this figure until I have it in hand because some things can be hard to see in pictures.

Hmm, the paint is definately different, but is it just me or does his body look more filled out? It looks more proportionate.

The thing about CF and Kong is that they have all the right in the world to their opinion. They do it though to be a dick and that is why I have no problems seeing people or myself telling them to shut the muck up and go away. We don't need those kind of members here.

Well, to take a pause from the verbal sparring here, I'd have to say that I'm a bit underwhelmed by Obi-Wan...ONLY because we had so many production delays because things needed to be fixed. How did paint shades get past QC again??? The hair is too dark, and that harms the piece. And I really hope that lopsided eye isn't on all of them.

HOWEVER, I think it's going to be the best figure yet. Paint issues aside, it still looks like Ewan McGregor!! Only Luke can measure up to Obi-Wan in the sculpt department, and I think Obi-Wan will be an all around better figure because the costume won't be so tight and his arm (hopefully) won't be falling off w/o modifications.

My opinion so far: everything should've been perfect because of the delays, but I have no regrets on ordering this and having to choose this one over Mace (although I'm getting him ASAP).

And that Grievous blaster is frickin' HUGE!!!


EDIT: Oh heck, who am I kidding...this figure looks AMAZING!!! Thanks to Josh for the hi-res shots. It's more obvious there that the hair does have shading in it.

Based on these photos at least, I'm concerned about this one. Paint apps like NOTHING like the prototype and should be much better.

I'll withhold final judgment until I get him, but to be completely honest, these pics are worrisome.

It looks like they changed to a thinner clothing. It might fit 1/6 scale better, but now we have a transparency issue.
