Thanks Cruel and DH. That was exactly what I was wondering was what was beneath the peg... Interesting. How snug do they fit on to the neck peg?

Does the neck joint actually have articulation? One thing I dislike about Sarah Connor, and what seems to be most of the female figures in the past, is female heads only have a rotating neck joint, not a ball joint type articulation, but the separated image looks to have a range of movement worked in.

I will pic this in a minute...but the peg slips into the helmet and then into a ring molded inside the helmet. The big grove you see in the plug is one of 2 that are different sized so that we plug it in correctly. Very snug to keep it displayed correctly on the figure...Sideshow did good...real real good.

I little tutorial:

The inner ring you see protrudes more than the rest of the...ummm...whatayacallit. The plug slips over that ring and it acts in conjunction with the double tab in the back and the single tab in the front to giude the plug in to place. The outer ring goes on the outside of the plug and the whole thing works very well to hold the head on. The evenly spaced tabs between the 2 rings are recessed and have no purpose for our purpose except to stop the plug from going in too far. very nicely done.

Judging from these photos it looks like her head is still a tad too big. The helmet head anyway. That probably won't stop me from getting her.

...post her with the helmet on and holding her head.

Forget it..dharper has already done it.

anyone want to put her head on Jedi Luke. It'll be nice to see a cute Jedi.

Just went through to see some pics and ...I have to agree that the paint app. on this is really good. Good job SS and the painters overseas. :clap

Thanks for the pictures and comments folks....wow, it's looking like this one is definitely out-of-the-park! Great sculpt with superb paint apps, good accessories, a well-tailored and weathered outfit and good functioning interchangable portraits. Very nice.
