Nice pics, everyone! Can't wait to get this one....Still not loving the material used for the pants, but I'll deal. The paint apps on her face look fantastic!!!

Nice set-up dharper. It's cool to see someone else incorporates that old Hasbro Carbo-slab in their display too...

Couple o' questions....what is that stand you're using for the helmet from? I like it...and when did Hostile Midget* do that Leia/Boushh bust? I though I imagined it...even asked one of the rude employees at the Hostile Midget booth at ClV about it and he claimed ignorance...it looks good.

Again, thanks for all of our thorough coverage of this figure...can't wait until next week for mine!

*- kudos to Irish for that brilliant name!

Hey Dharper, can you take a pic of Leia with a stormie. I want to see the helmet size comparison.

Thanks:eek:

Here you go.

Hey dharper, that looks like a really great shelving system you have there. Enough room for the Jabba display on top with figures next to him, and the 4 (8) 'boxed' areas underneath, with enough room for 2 or 3 1/6 figs in each box. Where did you get it? The close-ups of the wood make it look like Ikea, but it doesn't look like one I'm familiar with...

I think part of what creates the appearance of the helmet being oversized is the area where the bottom of the helmet meets the shoulders. In ROTJ, her collar and the base material of the helmet were kinda tight and fat together, where for a figure, the base of the helmet material is a bit higher up from the shoulders than the film, so the neck looks thinner and consequently the helmet seems oversized.

It is from Ikea. It's an Expedit bookcase. It comes in a few different sizes and colors.

Hey thanks dharper. Actually, It doesnt really matter if the helmet's a lil too big(I find the size fine tho) cos if it is too big, hopefully the TOMY Boushh helmet coming out soon can be used.
Cheers

Ok, cuz I'm big on images and all, I quickly photoshopped, sorry if I shouldn't have borrowed your image dharper, the Boushh helmet lower on the body like it appeared in the film, and to me, it looks to be a perfect size, but if they'd made it like this, it would effect the figure portion of the piece, so what we get is very close to the film with figure features included, which I'd prefer because the small shortcoming is VERY easily overlooked.

One thing to keep in mind with that picture is that I did a quick switch out with the head so it does fit a little lower on the neck then what the picture looks like. Not quite a low as the photo shop version, but lower then what is shown.

Helmet looks just fine now. Not oversized at all, which further convinces me that those "bobble head" pics were b/c of lens distortion.

Man, I can't wait to get this figure!!

This figure is looking fantastic. I'm really appreciating these preview shots folks...

I'm so anxious to start snappin' shots of this one I pulled the Hasbro version of Boussh out for a look back....

Other than the typical Hasbro head sculpt that looks nothing like her (although it did featured an effective, scale-friendly use of rooted hair), it's actually one of Hasbro's better efforts. The outfit was a little clunky, but well-made (hey check out those pants...not bad)...even the cape was lined and completely finished (hint, hint Sideshow :)).

She's undone by an extremely unposable body, but when all we had for 1:6 representation of Star Wars characters was Hasbro, this one works well.

But now we have this new excellent one from Sideshow!

So is it possible to physically alter the post that the helmet fits on to make it sit lower like in MaulFans photoshop pic? I think I'm gonna try it when I get mine.

Thanks for the info on the shelving dharper...I thought it was IKEA. Looked it up and it's fairly reasonable priced for the 16 shelf version...$169 and the possibility to display a full Jabba set-up on top and 2-3 1/6 figs per shelf...That's 32 to 48 figs...if I did my quick math correctly!

Oh and MaulFan, your treatment of Boushh in Photshop definitely makes a difference by dropping the head down over the shoulder armor. Shame the fig isn't more like that, it looks GREAT!
