Yeah I’m still looking to get one and was curious if it had one of the old floppy bodies. I’ll most likely try to find a knock-off body if I do.

I think the stock Sideshow body is a little tall on the one I picked up. She's not that far off Fett in height which really doesn't seem right. Now I've got it all futzed how I want it I'm not sure I'll go through it all again with another body especially with the issues of changing the hands over etc but it could certainly do with being a touch shorter. Pose-wise mine is fine but I'm not trying anything dynamic with it.

If I had one main gripe about the original I'd say the hands have a weird half grip post so it doesn't look particularly natural holding the staff at least with the right hand.

She's holding up rather well. I am surprised HT hasn't visited this one yet...loaded with gear and detail, all the stuff HT can really shine at, not to mentionall of the Leia protraits have been pretty good from them so far.

Lovely photo as always! I see you've got the Ubese blaster too. Mine didn't have that but I can't really complain for what I paid. And yeah... the HT Leia sculpts have been really good so I'm sure they'd nail this. I can see them doing this though but well after Endor, should that ever happen. I feel the Ewok Village and Celebration dress variants would be far too doll like to even consider.

Managed to snag one of these for $66 and I gotta say it's a surprisingly cool looking figure. I was concerned the outfit might look a bit cheap compared to my newer bounty hunters, but it actually holds up pretty well.

My only mods so far were to switch out the chest armor with the larger version being offered on eBay, and put it on another body since the old Sideshow one was just painfully bad (not to mention too tall for Leia). But I still want to do some more work to it to make it more accurate.

Nice pick up, dave! I really like mine. I got the same armor on ebay and swapped the helmet out for the Tomy version. The body poses adequately for me so I never messed with it. I dirtied up the clothes a bit more and darkened that bright orangish belt.

I’d be curious to see yours after a body swap.

Love this version of Leia. Looks great, guys. The Tomy helmet does seem to have a better shape.

I still have this figure and aside from the height issue, it really fits in well with the collection. I may swap out the body to a shorter one, in the future, but haven't really felt the need to do so.

I certainly wouldn't pay the $200+ for a Hot Toys version. If you can pick this one up, I highly recommend it.

It definitely holds up well. Looks even better with a couple upgrades.

I’d drop $200+ in a heartbeat for an HT version though. Especially if it came with a Chewie collar and an unmasked sculpt.

Yeah I suspect any HT bounty hunter would be awfully tempting to get. Although by the time they got to Boushh she'd be more like $250. Lol

I do like this figure and with some mods it can look great but I do feel like all the clothes are a bit dated - too thick and the cut/sew not all that fine, a bit like Hasbro stuff. The pants are really inaccurate too. I like that ebay custom armor piece but its a bit too thick and seems to be a resculpt of the Hasbro armor. There's other issues - the boots aren't very accurate and they turn sticky over time (though that's pretty easily fixed with rubbing alcohol.)

I agree the Tomy helmet looks a bit better and I like how it has a Kenner figure helmet vibe but the Sideshow helmet has better detailing. Unfortunately the Sideshow helmet is more scaled for a taller figure, but its not far off. With a repaint the SSC helmet can look better than stock.

What's weird about this figure is that the Hasbro staff is more accurately sized, and it almost looks like Sideshow copied/recast the Hasbro one - they are so close in detailing.

Would love to see what HT would do with this outfit.

I'm just keeping the ones it comes with, since there aren't a ton of poses I'd really want to put it in.

I agree. You'd imagine it would have to be considering the gangly and unwieldy shape of the thing. How else would you be able to get a normal shaped head inside that thing if it wasn't a little big...

And thanks for the answer. With all the upgrades people are doing, I wasn’t sure if the hands were the same. I saw a video review from 2013 that said it was difficult to get the thermal detonator to look right because the hand was so bad.
