By the way, you can find an excellent example of dynamic posing in DarkArtist's personal thread in the customs gallery. The last page features his marvelous Evil Ash repaint.
There's also plenty of Sideshow badassness in my own thread, linked in the sig.
Of course, this site is full of pics of Sideshow figures posed well and looking awesome and realistic.

Thanks for that Mikey! I try and have a good time posing those figs, and that last batch with Ash and Evil Ash was quite a good time. Thanks for inspiring that little batch of insanity! :lol

Glad you dug him as much as me gb!

I will eventually have him repainted when some of our talented painters can take orders again...

Yep Pjam, I'm glad we both ended up happy with the figure. I have to admit I was a bit worried, underneath my cool exterior, but in hand the figure is A-mazing! I'll leave him as is (not into altering figures), but nice to know he could look even better!

I think I will finally have this figure this week! I can't wait :)!

"I sure hope she's alright...."

Got mine today...

Haven't "futzed" with him yet so these are just some quick impressions...

Sculpt way better in person...it is interesting how the camera totally distorts how these figures look. Paint apps good (hair seems a little dark though). Jacket bad...too small! I got the ole' Hasbro duster out for my quick pic and it doesn't look too bad...Overall first impression of this figure is good.

Sure wish this company could find a way to ship stuff so it makes it undamaged. i'm 3 outta 4 for dinged/smashed/messed up packaging...which is a shame since the box is so nice. Ah, well...i guess I'll have to think about springing for the double-box deal...anybody tried that yet?

I'll try'n post more shots of him after my own "futz" session....

I gotta agree with Mikey on the body. They do need some improvements, particularly in how the body 'hangs'. But that doesn't mean you can't get some decent poses out of him.

Way to go jb! Love the ROTJ Endor location shot! :D

JB I can't believe what a simple yet great shot that is. Obviously this is a great figure and Hasbro does have its place! :lol

Thanks! Yeah, not clearin' the weeds out back comes in handy for those special location shots :)...

The more I look at this figure the more I really like it...

Here's one more...

You're right Mookeylama...the SS customer service is great...I did that for Kit and Anakin and the replacements were sent pronto & in mint condition...
...I just wish that weren't necessary. But if wishes were ewoks....
I even switched carriers but oh, well. I give these next two (Obi & Mace) a shot with the new shipper...if they are damaged, I'll just bite the bullet and switch to the double-box shipping...

C'mon gang! More pics!

Just got my Han today and I think it looks great. All the negative criticism about the headsculpt is completely unwarranted IMO.

I do have a question I hope someone can answer: is the strap on his holster that goes around his leg meant to open or do you have to start at his boot and slide it up his leg?

I've been scared to put his belt on because I don't want to pull that strap apart only to find out it isn't meant to open.

It doesn't have the "peg and slit" connector like the section where you put it on his waist or where the gun goes into the holster but looks to have one of the tiny metal dots instead.

I just opened it all briefly and am about to head out to work so hopefully someone can explain what to do by the time I get off because I'm dying to put him all together.:monkey5

From what I've checked out though, I have to say it's another fantastic figure. Congrats again SS!:chew

BTW, to those who are getting crushed boxes, it sucks to have to pay another $8 on top of the S&H but I started it on my Sith Anakin and he and Han both came in about as close to a true C-10 box as you could find. The cardboard containters are even perfect since they are protected in bubble wrap and an oversized box.

While I really think Sideshow should ship all the figures this way without charging extra (they are a "collectibles" company after all!) , if you're a total freak about having your packaging flawlessly mint like I am then it's about your only option right now because I doubt UPS is going to treat them any better than Fed-Ex did.
