The more I see pictures of those custom real fur Chewie's the more improbable an SSC version seems. That would be an absolute nightmare to try and mass produce.

Love that Chewie and Han pic!!! I got my Han today and I am amazed that his cheeks don't look chubby to me. In fact he looks way better than I thought he would. I am going to lighten the hair a little more with some careful highlights. :chew

I repainted his hair tonight. I didn't mess with the rest of the paint, just because I didn't have any issues with it.

What kind of paint did you use to lighten the hair with?

I used water based acrylics and then a flat sealer. I repainted all the hair and then drybrushed in highlights.

Yeah, the Fett and Stormtrooper are both Marmits. I switched out the body on the Stormtrooper for a Dragon Body, but Sideshow figures are so damn tall that Han towers over them.

No, Sideshow bodies are more true to 1:6 scale than other companies. The other companies are just short, probably more 1:6.5 or 1:7 scale.

I mean, I understand that Medicom is rather small, but DML, BBI or HotToys seem spot on to me.
How "tall" is SST's Luke?

One thing that's a bit different with Sideshow is that there are different scale figures within their 12" line. With Hot Toys and bbi, everybody tends to be 6 feet tall.

All I'm saying is that I can't wait until SS gets into the armored figures. Then I'll have scale Stormtroopers. Although God knows I'll probably go broke on assorted Clone and Stormtrooper variants.


The height difference between Han and a Medicom figure is ridiculous. I honestly don't know how Medicom can honestly market them as 1/6. I think they're are wonderful figures, albeit overpriced, but no way 1/6.

For the record, Luke is about 1/4" taller than the Marmit figures. If you go back and look, Fett wasn't a real tall guy, so I'm fine with that.

Well, I just helped one of you wait-listers out. I just couldn't think of a way to display the Mynock.. heck, other than the mini Sidious holo, and Mace's Fett souvenir, I have kept all the exclusives so far packed up. So, I cancelled my Han exclusive and ordered the regular version from Dark Shadow collectibles for a savings after shipping of 13 bucks. Sure, I could have been an arse and e-Bayed the Mynock down the road. However, I have always felt the right thing to do is help a wait-lister out. Besides, with 3 figs in 2 weeks, I could use that extra 13 bucks LOL.
