One thing that's a bit different with Sideshow is that there are different scale figures within their 12" line. With Hot Toys and bbi, everybody tends to be 6 feet tall.

DML has three or four different heights for their figures, and Medicom, although too short in general, also has two different heights and two different body types. It's not such a novel concept.

What background is that, Super Poseable? Great photo, btw.
It's some interior piping of the USS Intrepid museum in NYC, good source for old mechanical imagery. I visited it two weeks ago. By the way, it'll close for renovations for 18 months starting this October.
Oh snap, I just figured out some aircraft landing gear would make a great stand-in for the Falcon's legs!:)

Just got a TON of images added to TheGD.com of Han and a mini-review of the figure.

I absolutely LOVE some of the repaints and cloth wahsing done here...Mikey...your Han repaint is spot-on. Many of the things I pointed out in my mini-review (as well as other folks' reviews) you corrected. Now...how to fix the large HEAD?

Anywho...check it out!

THAT'S why it seemed so familiar! I used to be deployed on the USS Kitty Hawk, a carrier in the Navy. I used to see pipes like those every single day. As soon as I saw that pic... It instantly reminded me of the boat. Funny. :lol

Received mine and am extremely disappointed with the head. Almost the size of a Hasbro noggin. Beyond that the sculpt itself is mediocre at best. Coming from SS I really can't believe it. The rest of the set is very well done, but without a good sculpt the figure is worthless to me. Decided to cancel my Star Wars line and it's on to ebay for this balloon head. Sure hope this doesn't happen to the LOTR line or I'll fall into a deep depression.

Wow custommikey......beautiful re-paint. If the factory paint looked this good I wouldn't have canceled mine. I am still floored at how much inferior paint apps can kill a good sculpt. Did we ever get to see Han unpainted in the blog? If not sideshow can you put him in there?

Yeah, I know customs will always look better and the factory can't possibly devote the time mikey did, yadda yadda, bla bla, but these are seriously night and day.

Does anyone else have a Han blaster that the hammer(I guess), (the thing that would click back on a western pistol that would hit the bullet) that moves or comes out? Mine does and just wanted to know if they all do that or if I should see if Sideshow can get me a non-broken blaster.

I thought they meant the hammer to move! Mine was packed open so I clicked it back closed (then open, then closed, then...). I think that's a pretty good feature to have!:clap

Ha! And this is what I got an hour later:

Hmmm, will there be more mails like this be coming today? The more the merrier I say! It'll be childish to assume that someone at SSC read this post

https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showpost.php?p=219955&postcount=77

and speeded things up... Guess it's just the "go with the flow" thing, and my love for SSC!

I don't know, but that's like having 12" figures wear socks inside their boots... Or making them wear undies... Might be a neat detail, but, ehhh...

your figures dont come with undies? oh youre getting ripped off!

Heh! I wouldn't know, do they come with undies? I'm not really into this undressing-dressing-water treatment-ironing the trousers and jackets-posing-thing... I'm a MIB-er, never opened a SSC 12" before... Heh!

Ive never undressed mine either but from what ive seen they dont have undies :p. but they do sort of have socks...its more of a netting on their feet to keep their pants in the boots. hehe.
