Thanks. You'd have a lot of work ahead of you turning him into Jones, though. His ears are almost completely covered. You'd need to give him a haircut, and that means some major re-tooling.

You got that right, boy are the Star Wars fanatics gonna be pissed!:lol

Here's one with a fedora, but definately not the one he'll eventually have, it's just for reference.

Now to start sculpting some hair and possibly sand down the jawline, but the fedora seems to make the jawline look a little more square to me, what do you think?

I finally got my Excl. Solo today.

What a total pain in the ass! First I couldn't get the belt on so I then had to struggle to make a new belt hole. Then the holster belt started to come undone near the front buckle. Then I notice the front buckle was glued in way crooked so I had to struggle to pry it off and noticed Sideshow left quite a lot of plastic on the buckle piece which is what caused the problem. Fixed all that and try to put the belt on and the lower holster strap fell off.

It's not a bad figure, the cheeks may be a bit too pudgy, the hair paint is too dark, the jacket way too short, body too lanky and cant assume a c-ocked hip pose, the right shoulder is way too lose, and the buckle was a pain in the ass, but I really like the figure. :lol

Anyone know what type of glue to use on pleather? :monkey1

(Edit: What I can't say c o c k e d ? That's not a dirty word?)

Sounds like you are still in the early "futzing phase" there sm :D Once you get the belt the way you like and finish "futzing" I'm sure you're gonna like him even more, happened with a lot of us. I will probably lighten his hair and eyebrows like mikey did and that's it.

I love mine! He looks like a little Han every time I look at him!

The belt is on and in the right position, and I ironed the jacket so the futzing is finished for now (I still have to glue the lower strap back on). And I do like him quite a bit, it's just I wish I didn't have to go through all that.
I'd like to eventually lighten the hair and eyebrows too, possibly move him to one of my spare HT bodies.

Anyone else planning to make him a new jacket?
I thought about that as soon as I heard the jacket was too small. It shouldn't be too much work, just use the original as the pattern and enlarge the dimensions a little. I might try it in a few months.

Someone tell me this isn't Han! :D Nice work Josh...

Thanks Paul.....I needed a little practice and I had to see if it would work before attempting it on yours...:D

Now I plan on painting a few more figures just to be sure I have this whole technique down.

You're pretty damn close! The color and apps look great, don't know much about highlighting or clear coating but he looks even more like Han, the eyebrow changes are so subtle but make a huge difference IMO in softening his features to make him look more "human-like". The sculpt actually should have "squared" his sideburns to be more film-accurate, maybe that could be dealt with somehow in paint apps but he looks really good bro, congrats to you and the amazing job Mikey did to show just how great the Han sculpt is...

Thanks guys.... I've been trying to step up my game a little bit, doing whatever it takes to get there... I'm very happy that everyone is liking it. :D

I used superglue and that worked fine for me. I had the same problem with the strap becoming detached at the bottom. A little superglue fixed it probably better than it was before.

Thanks for an answer Rainman! I didn't want to attempt to use superglue unless I was absolutely sure it would work. :D

DarkArtist, did you just cover up the hair and eyebrows with lighter paint, or did you paint them white or strip them all together and start from scratch? I know you offered to repaint peoples (and I might ask when I actually get mine) but was thinking about doing it myself, and was wondering the difficulty level is if its just hair I will be messing with. Thanks for any advise!

They have superglue now that you can brush on. That's what I used. It works wonders.
