I don't have a HT Superman, while I freely admit he is a great figure, he is way overpriced for what you get. Look at all the armor and pieces that come with the Predator and USCM's and they are less $$. Even Bats has more to him. The Superman should be in the 90-100 range IMHO. Also while the great facial repaints really make the likeness pop out and Brandon comes alive, I feel for as much as you have to pay for these figures, the figure should be better straight out of the box. Sadly, there is no really good redition is a reasonable price range, so I am doing a custom. More on that later :).

<dismounts soapbox>

Remember HT designed a special body for this figure so you have to figure that into the cost. Still the best SR figure out there...

Actually I don't think they did. It looks to be the same body used on the Terminator and Reese figures as well as quite a few of their military figures and Batman has it as well. Their Generation figures are the same body.

Various Descriptions for this figure have stated it was a specially designed body although I haven't checked the HT site for verification. I have the HT Reese and I don't believe it is the same body, the body proportions with SR seems to be a "one off" and slimmer in parts to display the ultra tight suit but I may be mistaken. Again. :lol

Maybe kg or someone else can clarify this...

Well I've heard you don't step on his cape so I'm sure stripping him of it would fall in the same category :lol Mine will stay clothed

Really EF, won't be me. :lol

The shape and proportions of the HT SR arms and legs appear to be different to me... :monkey1

HT BB and SR bodies (keep in mind I raised Supes heels so he is now taller)

Damn...nice repaint!.....I never get tired of the HT Superman, he is easily one of my favorite 1:6 scale figures and the first proto photos I saw of him a long while back were a big factor in taking me into the 1:6 figure collecting ring.

try changing the white balance on your camera to "tungsten" josh.

Yeah Josh. ALl you need is the right light setting, and you're off to the races man! That paint is TOPS dude!
Lovin' it! Now he has his head!!!!! (I remember otherwise...:D )
Congrats fella.

Damn Josh! In that shot he really looks like Routh!!! 100%, just like you did with the Medicom Wolverine!

I finally have mine now and although he is untouched by talented hands I'm still blown away by the figure!!!

You can always adjust colors with something like photoshop...

Best ht supes repaint i've ever seen.

Thanks guys! And sorry about the yellow.... it's what happens when I don't wait until I have sunlight to take pics. None of the lighting in my house is good and my camera doesn't help. :lol

Will take good pics right now! :rock

And to answer the question GDB.... nope, the old HT head... not the new one.

nice repaint Josh!

I think I need to get a HT Supes to go with the rest of my masterpiece collection. I love the stands.
