This is the regular Supes head.... much better IMO.... at least after a touch up. :D

The 2nd Supes head is better out of the box, but you think that's because of the paint?

I just got my HT's Supes this week and I like the original head better than the extra. And pics do not do this figure justice, the head sculpt alone is greatly improved in-hand. Awesome pics Rockabilly, those are halarious!!! :lol And DA quite showing your Supes head off, your making me jealous! :D Almost forgot....congrates ven, you finally got your Supes!!! :joy :banana :fest :fireworks

Hell yeah! The League Awaits J'onn J'onzz

Yeah, I heard the league in my room discussing their need for a Telepath... Well, one that can talk to more than Fish!

Evilface... Batman isn't taller than every one else - The picture makes him look bigger because of the placement in front of the others... Love the DCD line.

PS: No I don't talk to my figure and/or hear voice...

I really do.... Having looked at the sculpt myself... it's nice, don't get me wrong.... but I like the regular expression a little better.

Would like to repaint the resculpt though... just to see if I'm wrong.

holy s@*t! are you kidding me??!! get the fudge outta here!! is that the same head as my HT supes???!!! that is absolutely unbelievable! it looks like a photo of routh.

you are one talented individual, dude. 1) for seeing the routh sculpt so clearly under there (i mean, i thought it was close but not this close!) and 2) for doing such an amazing job on the repaint. the group shot you had on the spidey thread made his head look a little shiny but these are amazing! kudos to you sir.

I can't help it, I've been completely consumed my this figure.

Your pictures are unbelievable Magnuz, I humbly bow down before you and your camera.

Magnuz what do you use to achieve that black background? just poster board?

My normal full photo setup involves a photocube (collapsable white nylon tent) two lamps and black poster board. I usually photograph smaller scale figures in the 6-7" range, and for this the tent i use works fine. Lit the way i do, with the two lamps up front pointing at the figure slightly towards the opening of the tent, it leaves the area of the posterboard in the back of the tent (with the figure as far up front as possible) in the dark, the black will then tend to blend away into shadow and leave a more seamless background.

An example is like this:
xornmod.jpg

But the tent doesnt work quite as well with 12" figs because of their size, i have less room to work with inside the tent and so the back gets lit up as much as the figure, and picture quality varies. So its tough.

For pics like the superman pic above, those are done completely differently. Its a little method i've been using for interestingly lit pics like that, where i simply setup the figure in a pose at an angle directly infront of my LCD monitor, set the screen to a white background and let the monitors glow light the figure. Since it only lights the figure and not much else ont he desk i can erase any small things that pop up in photoshop and get a figure that stands out on its own, i do this of course in a dark room to get the natural shadow.

I used the same setup for the flying pic a page or two back that i posted. Its nothing fancy but it produces a nice look i use for different figs when i want to take pics of them with some interesting light.

Here's a very, VERY crappy photoshop pick real quick.

Before anyone asks, no I'm not a professional, I just like to dabble a little.
