I wasn't entirely sure whether I should post these in this thread, but I've been working on kitbashing a hybrid Medicom/Hot Toys Superman Returns figure:

Head and body are from the Hot Toys Clark Kent; the suit and boots are from the Medicom Superman Returns. He still needs feet to be able to stand well.

Thus far, the biggest differences in the two suits seem to be in the cape, the neckline of the suit, and the texture of the chest symbol. I think I prefer the Medi cape and I'm undecided on the neckline.

Eh, I like the HT costume much better, it has no turtle neck. The way the costume sinks into the shoulders doesn't look good.

That is the biggest rub with using the Medi costume thus far, though I'm working on that....

Try filling the area with tissue paper, that's what I do with all my Sideshow figures pants so they don't sag in to the crutch...

After fiddling with him some more I think it was more of an issue with the pose I chose than the suit per se; I still had the shoulders pushed all the way up in their sockets from doing flying poses and did not pull them down as a natural pose would require for hands on hips.

Some stuffing might not be a bad idea in any case though.

that is a frikkin' sweet pic!!! i wish i had the ability to come up with awesome poses like that let alone take such a great picture. love the lighting too!

Well credit for the pose idea goes to hot toys heh. I regularly check supes on ebay and amongst the one or two 12" will be the various mini dio figs that HT made. I actually bothered to look at them finally the other day and noticed the superman with crain dio and it was pretty much that pose but him holding up a crane arm, and i thought it was such a cool pose i wanted to try and recreate it. Finally found a use for his karate chop hands heh.
