Well, the Deinosuchus/Parasaurolophus was only just announced at SDCC, so yeah, you could be wrong. :D

Well, being that the Deinosuchus announcement was at the end of July and Spooktacular runs October 22-31, odds are easily in favor of the next announcement showing up at that exact time. Right now, according to SS we should know what the next two pieces are before the end of the year, and the announcement spacing fits well into that timeline. Definitely excited for Spooktacular. Same time the first dio was unveiled last year, so it's very thrilling to think about what Dinosauria will have in store for us this time around! :rock

This is lame, but I actually dreamed that Sideshow announced a Stegosaurus maquette last night.

I'm betting the Steg will get a diorama, probably depicting the classic struggle against a theropod like Allosaurus or Ceratosaurus.

Not so much a lone Stegosaur, but one putting up a fight. These fellows are bruisers. Their entire body plan is geared towards defense against carnivores. It seems a disservice not to depict them with a truly imposing air. Granted, that particular fossil bed from which the diorama Dan pictured also has a Ceratosaur, a juvenile Stegosaur, a Camarasaurus that was killed and eaten by Allosaurs, aaaaand an Allosaurus that was killed by the presumably mired adult Stegosaur (due to a deep wound to the squamosal and postorbital bones) so we can't say that particular Stegosaurus wasn't entirely defenseless. I guess what I'm saying is I would like to see a Stegosaurus putting up a fight, flailing its tail and ready to spear an Allosaurus, the most successful generalist theropod known.

Exactly. Heck, they might as well show some theropod getting thagomized in the face. An action frozen in time, right at the height of violence.

While that statue is awesome, I'd much rather Stegosaurus on his own.

Me too.

And if they do it in a dio I hope he's putting up a fight like Scar suggests. My thing is that I don't want a wounded bloodied Stegosaurus, I want a pristine one since it is my favorite. I know its a little lame, but its what I want.

That would actually be my preference. But I want the maquette first otherwise I'll be nervous I may never get it. :lol

I'll be happy to see it regardless of the format.

By the way Scar, you'll be happy to know I'm getting the new Delgado series for the store. I haven't read any of them, but I'll be anxiously awaiting their arrival come November. :D

Great to hear! :rock I'm requesting off work on November 4 to go to the comic book store! :D

Seems like I'm gonna receive my Carnotaurus maquette along with the Tyrannosaurus maquette sometime in mid October... :(

I'm also waiting for the Kinto Fav collection Trcic Spinosaurus and Allosaurus which seems to oddly take too ^^^^ing long to arrive...especially considering that Japan is right next to our contry...

Because of customs, right?

Let me know how they look when they arrive. The stock photos look great, but I've never seen any of the Favorite Trcic models in person. And those are the two I'm most interested in.

In case of the Sideshow Dinosauria statues, yes, the customs office is the problem.

But for the Trcic models, I have absolutely no idea what's holding them back. If they were in the customs office, I would have been notified right away...

Anyways, once I receive them (I dunno when though), I'll post some pics here.

I'm curious if any of you have purhcased the T-rex skull from sideshow by Bone Clones, I was wondering if it looks pretty cool or not.

Bone Clones is a SUPERB company. They sell not only to universities and museums, but private collectors as well, fortunately. We have a good number of their products about the office, and I have the Siberian tiger skull mounted atop my television. Each and every one of their items is exacting in detail and absolutely stunning. I guarantee you would not be disappointed in the Tyrannosaur skull.

Do you have any of the Favorite/DinoStoreus skull models, Scar? I'm curious how it compares to those in overall quality, since they're less expensive.
