I preoredered the Legendary Edition this Tuesday for £70 and sold it within an hour on eBay for £125.

Flipperty-do-dar flipperty-ah! My oh my...

:chew:chew:chew

Oh dang, I just got my car back and I found out that there is in fact a Gamestop nearby, but they aren't doing preorders anymore so I can either order online and wait or try and go up to the store and buy it at midnight and hope they have a good version (limited or Legendary)

dam

If you're looking for the $125 dollar version, dell has them. Actually, near everyone has them. I'll get it when it goes on clearance. I think TRU.com has them for $99. Guess no one wants to pay 125 for a game.

The collectors edition (tin), you should be able to walk into best buy or circuit city and pick it up. You can order it on best buy right now with free shipping.

Well, most places have the $130 version at full price, the lowest I've found was at Newegg.com which had it for $120, ToysRus had it for $130. No place has it for $99 because that was the original price but they increased it to $130. And it most likely will never have the chance to go on clearance because from reports they are actually starting to run out of supply, because after all, it is a limited version.

I don't think it's going to be very limited at all. I was reading an interview with someone at Bungie (and no, I don't have a link.) He said they were planning on making AT LEAST 400,000 Legendary editions. Even when it comes to the larger amount of Halo fans, that's still a lot.

Glad I have mine pre-ordered. The helmet is probably gonna jump in price after they run out and people have to resort to eBay.

VERY intersting...

I will see if I can actually dig up that interview somewhere.

It sort of makes sense, there's like 1.5 million copies preordered and most people would probably preorder the Legendary Edition since that one's the most wanted and the most limited and most unlikely to be available at the store.

I was able to scrape together enough in-store credit after trading in four DVDs, and one game, and throw in a few bucks in cash to pay off the regular edition of Halo 3 today. So, now I can just go into my Gamestop around midnight Monday night and pick it up! Plus, I didn't have to trade in my three last, and favorite games on my Xbox 360, Gears Of War, Oblivion, and Madden 08! I'm a happy man now! :D

I might not be able to play online for a bit guys, for the past few days I haven't been able to connect and I just did a bunch of fixing with the settings and connections and it's possible that they just blocked the Xbox Live port on the school network, right now in the connection test on my Xbox it goes through IP and DNS but stops at MTU, and Shadowrun and Halo 2 Vista aren't able to connect on my computer either. So right now the earliest I could play online will be next weekend when I get back home for Fall Break. Which sucks, but that'll give me the time to finish the campaign.

My copy of the Limited Edition of Halo 3 will be delivered Tuesday afternoon, day of release. I decided to get the LE because I have the LE of Halo 2 and not the Legendary Edition because I don't need a cat helmet.

As soon as I get it I am diving in to the single player campaign.

Speaking of Call Of Duty 4 MP Beta, I play until I hit the rank cap and then I stop and wait for the rank cap to be raised again and then I will play. I don't see a reason to continue playing, it is really fun don't get me wrong, because consider it a waste to get more kills, etc when it won't help me rank up.

I re-watched Gamespot's stage demo of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare from E3 2007 and I got excited all over again.

Also, reviews will be up today at or by 12PM PDT. GameSpot.com (reviewed by Jeff Gerstmann), TeamXBOX (reviewed by KingTut33), IGN (reviewed by Killhil), etc...

I am interested in what Mr. Gerstmann thinks of this final iteration of Halo 3. He's said before he's not the biggest Halo fan. Nor am I. I do however want to see how this ends and I love a good shooter. So, here's hoping it is a good shooter.

Oh! Let's not forget: Points.

It looks like if the play through the game and beat it on Legendary difficulty for 125 points, you unlock the achievements for beating it on Normal and Heroic 125 points each. So, if you do that you will instantly unlock 3 achievements for a total of 375 points! I am doing that. We'll see how long it takes for me to get frustrated and play start over on Normal. :p

Hell yes :rock

I wonder if you get the same amount of achievement points if you beat in via Live Co-op?
