That Dumbledore looks pretty awesome

They originally had a rooted beard for him too if I remember correctly. I do think that they made the right choice by sculpting the beard for this, though I still have my doubts about mixed media hair in general.

Yeah, it was. However, on this occasion and judging by that picture, I agree - sculpted looks good. I think it's because Gambon's beard was more controlled etc and lends itself to it. I still don't like mixed media though and wish they'd just taken the time to get rooted right with Hagrid, Haris and Gambon.

I know this is unrelated to Star Ace's figures, but I couldn't find a better thread for it, and didn't want to start a new one for it: https://www.noblecollection.co.uk/download/file/1247?defaultFile=%2FDefaultImages%2FdefaultImage.png&thumbnail=False&cultureId=127&useLarge=true
I've never heard of this before, and can't seem to find more information about it. Is it a new piece, or an older one? Some websites have it listed for pre-order, I think I've seen some in-hand pictures, and other sites have it for crazy prices. It's on the UK Noble Collection site (I think), but I can't find it on the US one. I was hoping to display it with Star Ace's Triwizard Harry (I guess it's a bit relevant then :lol), but can't find anything concrete about it.

I have never seen that before, it looks great! Would make a very cool backdrop/enhancement for Triwizard Harry.
I have the Noble Mirror of Erised, it's a great display piece to go with the figures too.

I think it's part of their new magical creatures line.

Anyway, it's here and is at £135.

No, the Magical Creatures line (which I am also super excited about: I've already bought the Ukrainian Ironbelly. :D) is different. I think they're smaller, and they have a case around them. Also, I did mention I had seen it on the UK site, but I can't figure out if it's a UK exclusive, or if it will be coming to the US eventually. I also can't tell if it's an older item, or a recent release. I vaguely remember something similar to this being offered from Noble in the past, but I'm probably misremembering.
And yeah Manannin, the idea of displaying it with Triwizard Harry is what first caught my attention!

Yeah, I know about the ones in glass cases, but they came out a similar time. Anyway, this is new(ish). Came out June this year. Magical creatures was July. I've followed Noble for a few years and they usually have items here then US and vice versa.

Ah, sweet then! Thanks so much for the info!

That's crazy. Perhaps I better not wait too long to put in my preorder for the new Harry and Hermione. I've been trying to wait till some of my other toys are paid off, maybe around November or December to start on these, but I may not be able to wait that long. Quidditch Harry might've moved faster due to the building excitement about the new film.

Maybe Star Ace has been making a lot less figures, or is really hoping that people buy the 2 pack? Or maybe Sideshow isn't as invested in the line, and didn't order many.

I'm just glad that Amazon has them up for pre-order. I should be getting my Quidditch Harry on Friday.

It is unusual. I wouldn't say it's due to overwhelming demand though... perhaps a lower edition size.

Edit: Or perhaps what Ebor said. :lol They have done similar things before.

...or maybe Sideshow, has a butt-load of these spoken for (promised inventory) and want to drum up sales. Nah, Sideshow would never do THAT!

You've got a good point there. Amazon is shipping out all the Quidditch figures tomorrow, so if anyone wants Harry they can put in an order there.
