That's crazy. Perhaps I better not wait too long to put in my preorder for the new Harry and Hermione. I've been trying to wait till some of my other toys are paid off, maybe around November or December to start on these, but I may not be able to wait that long. Quidditch Harry might've moved faster due to the building excitement about the new film.

Sideshow doesn't order many more than the pre-orders. So if you wait until it ships you may miss out.

I'm loving the Chamber of Secrets Quidditch Harry Potter figure.

No issues with the body, it's very well articulated. The outfit is fantastic, I love that the Quidditch robes have a wire running through them, so you can pose it as if it's ruffling through the wind. My only nitpick with this figure is that the arm pads are pretty loose on mine. The head sculpt is great too. It's not a perfect likeness, but it's miles better than both previous attempts at Harry. The Nimbus 2000 is excellently made as well. We've seen the Snitch before, and it works the same way as it did with it's last appearance. I clipped the wire between the front arm on the stand and the broom, so that it looks like the Snitch is just out of Harry's reach. The only other thing I can think of that could have been included was a hand with a Snitch sculpted in it.

The stand is great too, it's made of a material that mimics grass. I thought it was sculpted, based on the product photos, but the closest approximation to what it feels like is maybe a tennis ball. I really like how the part meant to hold onto Harry can function as a both a crotch grabber, and a waist grabber.

Overall, it's an excellent product. Definitely get it while you can get it for MSRP. Sideshow has sold out, but Amazon (where I got it from) just got these in on Wednesday, and the packaging protected the box very well (the box is actually really nice too). This has quickly become one of my favorite figures.

Congrats on getting him Green Goblin, sounds like he's turned out great! :yess: Please take some pics if you get the chance!! :)

Quidditch.jpg

This is the best I've got. I took it with my iPhone's camera, and shopped in a the sky, and shopped out the figures I had behind it too. I accidentally got rid of the Snitch's wings here, and I sort of half-assed trying to make it look like it was flying on it's own, because I'm not good enough with the program to get rid of the wire, and poles while they're in front of the figure.

The rest of the shots I took aren't very flattering, and even this one doesn't really convey how better it looks in hand. I'm just putting this one out there because there doesn't seem to be any pictures of the final product besides the one's here.

If I can get better shots than this next time I try, and no one's beat me to it, I'll post 'em.

Take some pictures Goblin :)
No Draco?

No, I didn't get Malfoy. I'm waiting for a HBP or Deathly Hallows version of the character to be released.
