I suppose it makes sense to wait until a lot of the first one is sold out, but to me that only makes sense when one version could easily win over another with fans, like say Mark 3 Iron Man and BD Mark 3, where the BD is close enough to the same as the first, people might just go with BD over regular.

With Connor, it's 2 very different costumes, and depending on how it's done, if a second version includes a scarred portrait and only that, then really, anyone willing to buy this version to me, would buy it regardless of the first figure, either in adition, or they only ever wanted this look and passed unless it was made.

to me i see it in the same vein as their RE figures, how there's the regular version and then the S.T.A.R.S. version of the figures. or regular Leon and RPD version of Leon.

the same character in a completely different yet awesome outfit, and (to me at least) warranting the purchase of both.

Indeed, the only way I see a second Connor conflicting sales of the first one would be if there were no scarred portrait and the portrait were identical to the first figure, then it would come down to which outfit people like most for many buyers, probably even myself, but I like both costumes and if this has the scarred portrait, it's a definite pickup for me, if it's the same portrait just different costume, they I may pass, it'd be a lot of money just for a different costume and weapons, which I know, it seems silly that having a different head could make much difference, but to me, if everything is totally different, then it feels like 2 unique figures, if only the clothes and accessories change, to me that should be a DX, cost a lot but not as much as two separate figures, and be done with it. Really, Connor is a great figure for the DX treatment minus PERS, but I'm starting to think every DX is going to Use PERS, but I don't see why it can't be regular figures where it's 2 full, unique costumes and 2 or 3 portraits. Marcus is just shy because he's just 2 coats and heads, same pants and shirt.

i DO think the scarred portrait would up the chance of people buying both versions.

That'd be kinda boring to me, I don't get to into lay on the floor accessories unless it really adds to the environment, plus Marcus was behind that, not John.

The leaked photos only showed a machine gun, hopefully they'd have the grenade launcher too.

That'd be kinda boring to me, I don't get to into lay on the floor accessories unless it really adds to the environment, plus Marcus was behind that, not John.

The leaked photos only showed a machine gun, hopefully they'd have the grenade launcher too.

Including that sort of accessory with a second John would create another incentive to buy the Marcus figure. Also, it just makes too much sense to release a second John figure with a scarred head if HT gave the Marcus figure the outfit from the final scenes of the movie.

I wonder if HT wants to release figures that would "complete" the final factory scenes from the film (Marcus w/jacket, T700 dio, 2nd John?). Really, the only pieces missing from the puzzle are Kyle Reese and the T800.

Unless it's a T-800 with flesh or some sort of damage, the old T-800 works fine, though I can see wanting it for those that missed out the first go around and didn't like or get the T-700, Reese is much more unique and desirable.

i think it would be cool, for photo/diorama purposes though, plus since it wasnt listed with marcus as an accessory, releasing it with V2 Connor would get it out there

i guess it is kinda dull though. now an aqua terminator (is that what their called?)...hmm...thatd be neato! but i guess thats sortve a duh statement.

I believe the offical name for them is Hydrobot, and yeah it would be cool, given that Hot Toys has made the Sentinel from the Matrix, the Hydrobot's are quite similar, could apply the same tech, but I imagine them selling that separately.

Personally, I am ready to move on with the Terminator Salvation, Batman and Ironman franchises. I have little excitement over the possible announcement of another re-produced figure regardless the sculpt or outfit

(4) Batman (4) Jokers, (4) T-600 and (5) Ironman is enough of any single movie character. Especially when other important characters from the same movies haven't (yet) been made such as Ra's, Scarecrow, Kyle, Iron Monger.

IM 2 set to open next summer with Batman 3 and TS 2 not far behind. It will be too much HT goodness I will pass on a JC v. 2 but I hope everyone who would like to see the figure produced gets their wish.

Well, if that sort of pattern bothers you, better steer clear of Hot Toys, that's how they work.

Can't blame them persay, but they only make what has strong chances of selling really well.

While many collectors would love a Gary Oldman Gordon to go with Batman, how well the figure would sell compared to Joker and Batman figures is probably significant enough they deem him not worth all the effort.

Iron Monger, I'm a little surprised by, seems like it'd be about the size of the Power Loader, but either they struggle with the engineering to get the posability out of something so large and at this point just want to work on IM2 for the film's release, or maybe they figured something that large wouldn't sell well.

As for the T:S line, other than Reese, there really isn't a character worth having in figure form that hasn't been made, it's mainly John, Marcus, and Endos worth having anyhow, and sadly, Reese is probably another one that's looked at as not likely to do so well and not worth making. A lot of HT lines end with 1 or 2 figures that could really make the line feel complete never being made, Gordon for Batman, Bishop and Newt for Aliens.

Looks more like the Paris' sidekick that was hacked a while ago. But I'd totally buy a Paris Hilton "Icons" or "Hot Angels" anytime, any price

Their pattern doesn't bother me nor do I blame them. They are a business and consumer demand is strong for a character(s) then they will milk the product. Strike while the kettle is hot, business 101.

I cannot wait until more information is released on the Marvel lineup which is my creme`de la creme. I envision 3 or 4 versions of Spiderman and Wolverine which is similar to the choices Terminator and Batman fans face with all their current versions. I will be loving life but still wondering why do I need 4 versions of the web slinger but not a single version of the Goblin, Doc Ock or Venom
