I would be completely satisfied if Hot Toys produced a MGS Solid Snake & Liquid Snake and MS2 Solidius Snake. I didn't care much about MGS 3 or 4 so while I wouldn't buy figures from those 2 games myself, I hope fans of those games also get figures out of it.
Besides, I already own the Play Arts Big Boss which is amazing along with the Medicom 6 inch which are some of my favorite figures.

Honestly i don't want a BigBoss, weve had soo many and he isn't even the origional hero.
with that said im probably gonna get every one they make lol. as well as the 3a Rex and Ray, my room is gonna be full of MGS :0

Worked a treat too. When you meet Snake again in Arsenal Gear, he is even more impressive an icon.

Definitely. He was B.A. I remember taking pictures of him behind cover with the camera, LOL

As for the Big Boss figure, it would be cool if it came with a headsculpt without an eye patch or camo, because that would be a good Solid Snake MGS2 headsculpt. We could then use that head on a body with a tuexdo and have him as a VR Snake to tide us over

I'm so sick of MGS3 getting everything. The best game of the series gets ignored and it's annoying. I really hope they spread the line out, I'll flip out (in a bad way) if they give us a bunch of Naked Snake repaints with new camos.

It would be a waste of the license.

I'm so sick of MGS3 getting everything. The best game of the series gets ignored and it's annoying. I really hope they spread the line out, I'll flip out (in a bad way) if they give us a bunch of Naked Snake repaints with new camos.

It would be a waste of the license.

wouldn't be surprised though. i mean there was 2 krausers, 2 leons, 2 chris, 2 weskers, and now 2 jills.

mgs1 is my fav snake too, but i can see why they would skip on this one. as a sculptor, it's kinda hard to find material pics for it. i know these aren't great examples but you kinda get the idea.

in the newer games u get better cg renders. pretty much in the ps2 era. mgs1 was remade, but in gamecube, which is not known for its graphical power.

My brother was actually talking to me about that today. Posing the question what sculpt would they give him, and if they do MGS1 and MGS2 Snake; will they be the same sculpt more or less with different hair.

So excited for the first figure.


Ideally I would want MGS2 Snake and Raiden as the first two.

We all want MGS figures, but from MGS1, and MGS2 or even MGS4 ... instead MGS3:
Solid Snake from MGS1-2 OR 4 (not Big boss) Gray fox as Ninja, Ocelot, Fox Hound members,(Psycho Mantis, Vulcan raven..) Dead cell, Vamp, or Raiden as ciborg Ninja from MGS4...However, it seems that the first figures will be from MGS3 ..

..But, If I have to choose beetwen Big Boss Sneaking suit or Naked Snake (Snake cammo) I certainly prefer Naked Snake ... Thats for sure

which is why it's ideal for ht and medicom to do the more recent games in the series. cuz konami can supply them with the in-game 3d models.

Solid Snake and Liquid Snake are clones of Big Boss, so I would think they could use the same face sculpt for Solid, Liquid, and Big Boss and maybe tweak it a little with the correct amount of facial hair for the characters that had it. They also had the young Snake camo mask from MGS4, if they wanted to use that for 3D reference.

They are clones, but not 100% identical..

Big boss has more pronounced and rough facial features than Solid Snake, for example. (he looks older and his beard is different)
Besides, HT could make sculpts with different facial expressions and hair style for Snake, Liquid, or Solidus (he looks the oldest one).for that reason, they would be very different from each other

And my last thought: Hottoys Will be in favor of a more realistic and "human" interpretation for the character models and sculpts.. Unlike Medicom's anime - cartoonish versions

I fail to see how MGS Snake is an "anime type look" when compared to the MGS2 Snake just because he doesn't have a semi-beard like MGS2. I prefer the look of 1 over 2 any day of the week. I didn't care much for the sneaking suit or mullet from 2. Not to mention Snake taking a back seat to Raiden.

A nice change-o-head for MGS1 Snake could be the scuba suit he wears into the shadow moses base.

I don't know, I thought Naked Snake from MGS3 looked pretty much exactly like Solid Snake from MGS2. I think the progression of graphical capabilities throughout the series may have something to do with people thinking that Snake from MGS1 had an anime look. I'm pretty sure they'll give them all a similar, realistic looking sculpts if they make them from all of the games.

well maybe that's not the best choice of words. but he is clean cut. your typical japanese style hero. kinda like leon kennedy from re4.

and this is the one where pretty much everyone seems to like or prefer. even the young snake camo mask in mgs4 takes after this one. he became more real and more rugged.
