I hope they base all the snake headsculpts on the young snake camo of part 4, thats the clearest detailed version of his face. They should all be based on that model with variations in hair and facial hair.

If you wanna make MGS1 Snake, then this is what should be made:

Or at least something that's close to this look. No crappy young Snake from MGS4, no thanks.

yeah but those who hate medicom with a passion welcome it. i don't mind the medicom ones, but there are those who are auctioning their snake already after hearing the news of ht's licensing, lol

Well I don't own any of the medicom 1/6 figures, and I would be happy for one Naked Snake...but for me it's all about the first.

Id prefer if they worked off the artwork. they are detailed enough. also they should do a different head sculpt for each snake. i don't think the games really got the face completely right

HT seems to love Resident Evil 5, there have been tonnes of figures for that. Actually, wasn't one shown at the show?

It seems like if HT love it, they'll do a lot of it, and I hope and think that's the case with MGS!

I have no doubt this line is going to be successful. MGS has a big enough fanbase to keep interest going for a while and there's a wide range of characters to choose from. Snake Eater alone could fork out The Boss, Ocelot, Eva, Volgin and several Naked Snake variants.

They've certainly done a bunch of RE figures, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for Hot Toys to release all versions of Snake and the rest of the characters. I think all of them would sell well.

BUT, the teaser pics were fromthe new game, so I think it might be a while before we see figures from the past titles.

I totally agree with you. When I think of MGS and Solid Snake, this is the look I completely associate with the character.

Thanks for posting that picture. That's the Shinkawa artwork I was mentioning a few pages back. That is all the reference material you need right there for a game accurate Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid for the PS.

If they wanted to be smart about it, they could easily make MGS1 and MGS2 Snake in the same figure. Snake's MGS2 suit is the same suit from MGS1, without the vest or knee/elbow pads. They could give MGS1 Snake a second MGS2 head, removable vest, removable knee/elbow pads, and a MGS2 harness/webbing. Bam! 2 Snakes with 1 stone! And it would free up resources to give us another character.
