I rarely comment anymore, but I am impressed. I was going to get this figure regardless of the extra sculpt.

And to the people saying that the UU expression embodies the character, I would have to disagree as well. It's smirk is more pronounced, but the eyes are too evil looking.

The Hot Toys one has a better balance on the eyes and smirk, making it look amazing on the shot behind the ship's wheel.

This figure is the best thing I have ever seen in 1/6.

what happened to this board today? shouldnt everyone jump on my throat for not joining the hallelujah chorus? this kind of calm sensible conversation feels weirdly uncharacteristic of this place.

Honestly I think it's because no one feels threatened. For those who like this figure, it is flawless to a degree that speaks for itself. Tere is no room for doubt and therefore no need to be defensive... again, for those who like it.

One thing that bugged me about the prototype was the pin-head. Honestly the head looks perfect in size here:

I suspect that both heads are new. Or at least the original stern face has been resized.




There is no possible way I could be happier with the way this figure turned out.

Although, there are characters I am more interested in, I have no problem with calling this figure of the year.

Thats what I was looking for. Enterbay's is a child's crayon drawing compared to Hot Toy's Mona Lisa.

And sadly that's the main place Medibay's Jack falls short: paint.
