This figure is unbelievable. Best HT release to date imo, hands down. It makes all my other figures look plain and boring in comparison. I'll add a pic or two to the pile in a little while.

This has to be the best 1/6th figure ever produced. It's perfect.

I thought I was going to use the smiling sculpt, but the basic sculpt just blows me away.

I got mine today. I haven't had time to really do anything with it, but I agree that it's the figure of the year. As great as Superman is, there's just so much more to Captain Jack to enjoy.

In terms of capturing the full likeness and flavor of each character both Jack and Superman are a 10/10, but there's just so much more detail to Sparrow... And the PERS really, really works GREAT for this figure.

Indeed, as I hoped since the DX line started, having a Jack figure with the PERS system ia amazing, it really suits the character.

I thought it would be a shame to keep such an amazing looking saber in its scabbard, so I went with a pose that utilizes it

I am so very happy I was able to get my hands on this figure. I have to agree with well..everyone, this is the figure of the year and by far the best production figure I have in my cases.

I hope that this figure and the reaction to it in hand will show Hot Toys the value of taking time and putting in a solid effort. The seemingly rushed figures end up having QC issues and are met with lukewarm reception. Jack was delayed and took longer than expected, but turned out great and has met and exceeded expectation among collectors.

So I got mine yesterday. Got it from ebay for $219 total. The auction said it did not come with the long telescope, which I don't really care for. But when I opened it, there it was, the long telescope.

So it seems that all the ones shipped here to the US will have it regardless.

Now, about the figure. It looks great. It is the best figure I have. The quality of the clothing is exellent. I like the color of the coat because I don't even know what color it really is;sometime it looks gray, brown, blue.

One thing though, one of the belts, the lighter brown one, snapped though when trying to insert the gun. The holes were too close to the edge that has the string going through it. Have to get a new one from ebay now.

Yeah. Not at all a stratch to say this is the best figure ever made. Once you get it in hand you see that so much more went into the production and design than any other figure. And I still can't bring myself to take it out of the box.
