Got my Jack from CSC tonight. I love CSC, they're so great to buy from. UPS, not so happy about. Please note, CSC ships their figures inside a bigger box with foam peanuts. They must have ran this over with their truck.

I'd check the figure like CelticP suggested. You could end up with a perfect figure in a crappy box...If you return it for another one, you run the risk of a crappy figure in a perfect box....

...and any combination in between :lol

Food for thought.

CSC would probably be willing to replace the messed up box and let you keep the figure if it's perfect. They've replaced an individual broken piece for me in the past without doing the full replacement of the figure.

Oh and yes. Here he be.

I hope your figure is ok!

And...

*Insert joke about Ace Ventura Pet Detective movie comment*

Ever since it was brought up to my attention. I can't stand the fact that HT used the same size hands for a narrow shoulder on Jack. Here's a comparison to the bruce lee hands. Much better fit for the body. I also put them on my dressed Jack and it does look much better. HT dropped the ball with this. :slap

Is the figure ok? If not...then i'm sorry.

But if it is, then I wouldn't worry about. The box is cool...but it's a box.

I'd still see if I could get a replacement. The money we drop on these things does include the cost of the box art and design, so it's reasonable to expect the whole package will arrive mint. And if the set needs to be sold sometime it's worthwhile having a straight box.

I guess I could care less about the box. it's getting opened any way.

But that's me.

The DX boxes are a work of art.

For the price?

Both.

In what way is the condition of that box acceptable?

Jack is finally setup on my desk with all his accessories dangling off him ...and of coruse the giant wheel behind him.

Honestly, this piece is so impressive it seems unfair to compare it to other 1/6 offerings...even DX ones.

CSC is already sending a replacement. I love it when I can buy stuff from them. They're great to work with, and pack nicely, except when UPS drives over the box. I expect UPS will be eating this one, so I'll let them pay for the new box. :) The girl I talked to said to check the replacement when it comes in, and if I want to trade out parts, that's cool with them. So, I may get both this time around Celtic.

As for the figure, it looks to be fine. I can't believe the rudder even survived that, since the bashing had to have made it into it's area. If it weren't that foam, it would be broken for sure.

Here's a teaser of the pose I plan to use, once my room is cleaned up from another project enough to deal with it properly. It's kind of a walking towards you pose, but you can't quite tell that from the picture. His right boot is actually angled up.
