The telescope talk won't end. Bad news for anyone that preordered at BBTS. I got an email saying that Sideshow changed the info on them and they won't be receiving the long telescope version.:gah: Any chance this will happen with AE?

I got the same message. It looks like SS got it as an exclusive after all. I'm sticking with BBTS, not paying $20 for an accessory.

Really? Odd. BBTS is an American retailer, I dont know why they wouldnt be able to get the exclusive.
If the same thing happens to Alter Ego, I still wont care. Doesnt bother me. :lol

Sorry to keep this telescope debate going, but I just wanted to correct myself.
Awhile back I said that Alter Ego was selling the exclusive version to everyone including international customers. I was wrong.

Please post an update when you hear from them. I've got mine pre-ordered through BBTS also. I don't care about the telescope but I don't want to have the scenario where they cancel international orders altogether.

Edit: I think I misread the AE order page. While it says that:

"Attention International Customers: Please note - this item is available within the continental United States only. Sorry, no international orders will be fulfilled."

...they have highlighted in bold the long telescope. This suggests to me that AE will still fill international orders, just not include the long telescope. I initially read the page to mean that they weren't taking ANY international orders for the figure as a whole.

What do you guys reckon, is my second reading the right one?

I didn't realize it had been delayed

I preordered and payed in full. This does not give me a chance to save.

:gah::gah::gah::gah::gah::gah::gah:

You paid in full a pre order ? What if the seller dies or something ? NEVER pay full on a pre order.

I'm sure this will be all over eBay with the telescope as soon as released, just matter of time.

This is what I reckon...

LOL well I guess death could be a problem....

Angolz are a HK based website.
They have by far the cheapest pricing for HT's stuff and very cheap shipping prices to Oz from HK as well.... unfortunately their orders including preorders are through Paypal and immediate.

But I want to give them a try since if they are good it'll be a great Hot Toys source for the future for me.

But, wasn't BBTS the one who got their HT stock from someone other than Sideshow?? I thought this was discussed earlier in the thread.

Jeez, I ordered from AE because they still listed the Long Telescope after the intial hubbub died down. . . and once CornerStoreComics came in and confirmed that they would be getting it. If it's REALLY a Sideshow Exclusive, that'll piss a lot of people off at this point, and probably piss off a lot of retailers.

Not to mention that Toy Anxiety already parted out the Long Telescope, and with them you pay up front, and that'll probably be a bunch of refunds THEY have to do, if this deal ends up turning sour.

You would think that Toy Anxiety would make sure first that the telescope was a sure thing before they parted it out on their site :dunno......but if not a lot of pissed off customers.

If you read the thread earlier, they emailed me back and said they would be getting it. Apparently they have certain distributors for certain items, not just by company.:dunno

Josh wrote me this on 19 April 2011 17:07:03:

"Dani,

Yes, the exclusive is to the release, not the customers, or to put it another way, it's US exclusive in that it's only available to US and Japanese retailers (including us) it doesn't matter where the customer lives. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

I'm pretty sure they DID. I think they mentioned that in their thread, somebody asked them if they were getting the LT, and they had to go check, and then a short while later, it was added to the POPO.

At this point though I think Sideshow's in the mode of "we need to make this right" and just give everybody the LT. If you're in the US, and you order from a company in the US, you get the LT. I can't imagine where BBTS is getting their stock from if not Sideshow, who else distributes Hot Toys?? Even if they got their stock from Hot Toys direct, BBTS is STILL in the US, so why would they not get the LT??
