I'm pretty sure they DID. I think they mentioned that in their thread, somebody asked them if they were getting the LT, and they had to go check, and then a short while later, it was added to the POPO.

At this point though I think Sideshow's in the mode of "we need to make this right" and just give everybody the LT. If you're in the US, and you order from a company in the US, you get the LT. I can't imagine where BBTS is getting their stock from if not Sideshow, who else distributes Hot Toys?? Even if they got their stock from Hot Toys direct, BBTS is STILL in the US, so why would they not get the LT??

Sideshow isn't going to just up and give anyone the scope, this all comes from HT, however many pieces and whatever conditions they dictate to Sideshow, that's how it's going to be.

HT should just life the exclusivity and make it standard, if they're going to toy around with declaring an exclusive like this, they need to make the terms clear up front before allowing distributors to presell.

At this point I don't want the telescope, nor am I sure I want the figure anymore out of principal. HT is starting to piss me off lately, with their bs prices (I don't believe the 'inflation argument'.), and this bull crap here.

There is just something wrong about all this. Firstly, it makes absolutely no sense. Secondly, segregating parts of the collecting community over geographical location is fusked up. Morally tactless and idiotic. I don't even want the stupid telescope, but this is soo wrong on many levels for me. Of course some of you guys who are within "The Golden Circle" will tell everyone else to stop whining, thats only natural for the people included in a stupid PR move like this one. Try to see it from the other side? Where you have been excluded from something because of where you live.

You want to make something an exclusive, great, give it to SS and every order from them will include said exclusive. That makes sense, it encourages sales from approved dealers and sways buyers away from HK ebay dealers.

But no, don't give them the stupid piece of plastic, cause a whole load of negative feedback about one of the most warmly received protos I have ever seen, for what? They will lose sales by doing this!

SSC is the official distributor of HT products in the United States. Not the entire world. So before SSC even gets the actual figures in-stock they're released in HK by ToyHunter's (including exclusive items). So HK EBay sellers will always be in demand since they get everything from HT first.

Yeah, I totally get that, but I will give you my own case as an example. I actually pre-ordered this with Sideshow, I just decided that I really liked this figure and wanted the most complete version available. When all this ____ started, I cancelled my order and went back to loontentoys. That was a direct result of this stupidity. In regards to Sideshow only being the official distributer in the US, well they ship everything internationally as well. They are a global distributer. Since there are no official distributers in most of the rest of the world that pretty much puts them in that role for a lot of HT fans. Take that away and everything will be bought from a small handful of stores and ebay dealers.

Why would Sideshow do this, I would love a rational explanation.

they should have just made this figure exclusive to Japan like the Scarecrow, Demon Bats and Beat It figures as there was much less whining about those full figures being regional exclusives than this small, inconsequential accessory.
