Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

A 2032 John Conner would also bee cool.

The Problem with a 2029 Reese is, that he have a complete different clothing as the 1984 Reese.
And Neca must sculpt many new Parts.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

But the Paintjob is not always sloppy.
And they use not always this horrible Joints(the Predator Hound was a bad Joke).

The Freddys and Evil Dead Ashes have a way better Paint Job then Predator and Terminator.
And the Joints of freddy are not so ugly.
The Cult classics Ash looks very great because he haves not many joints.

Takes Reese this joints ?

Makes sense.:lol

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Neca is just inconsistent. Their new Nightmare elm st line is pretty great, but its a statue lower half with some upper body articulation. To me, that's the way to go. Paint apps are good on this line, crap on terminator and good on Gears line. I don't get them anymore

We not seen any of the new Terminator figures so just like new Elm Street they may have improved it. I know they did not announce any new endo's but hopefully Reece will have good paint apps.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

i hop the Reese is end battle with pipe bomb. super keen to buy Reese. my guess is the t2 figure will be frozen t-1000.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Or it could be liquid metal version of Steel Mill.

Its pretty certain though that the Reese will be based on Tech Noir not the end of the film.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

There is so much little nick picks on NECA and other toy lines. Nothing is absolutely perfect. You bug the figures because you are a fan on the movie, or game genre. Toys now are so much better than they were even 5 years ago. sculpting accuracy everything. even the packaging of these figures makes the item better. yes, there are some items that have been fragile, but most of these thigns are not meant to be played with like 90's kenner figures. for me, so what if the paint is not perfect on the terminator line. even Reese which is one of my favorite characters of all time, i will still purchase many of these because i am a fan. and as a fan you have to be grateful that these things are being made. one would never think Ash 'chainsaw version' from Evil Dead 2.. Reese.. Hicks.. all the terminator figures.. aliens.. predator 2 lost tribe.. i could go on would be made or even made again

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

First and foremost I want my figures to not break if I walk past them. With NECAs QC on the T-1000s from T2 series 3, not only were they not fit for 'play' - they weren't fit for even the odd reposing by a collector. If you tried to repose, it broke, simple as that. They might aswell have made it a statue because after you glue the joints back together thats what it ends up as. Figures breaking at a glance really is something that should be complained about unless they're being given away for free.

About the paintjobs - well if figures from other lines are getting good paintjobs while Terminator and Predator don't - I would be curious as to why that is. If its true, that is kinda annoying. But I have to say I always overreact when I see the in-hand pics. When I eventually get the figures myself I'm generally pleasantly surprised. The same issues that look so terrible in photographs just don't bother me as much in person.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

NECA--- if you are reading this!!: thank you for making Kyle Reese 1984 but please consider to make Kyle Reese 2029 in the same series! Also, consider making John Connor 2029. Think about it you guys have developed an army of endoskeletons, but zero resistance Tech Com soldiers to display fighting against them. A Reese and Connor would no doubt have high sales. Even just regular collectors would love futuristic soldiers to fight again the endoskeletons.. please make them

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

When i see the McFarlane the Walking Dead Zombie DVD Box Head, it wouls be very cool if Neca make this with the Terminator.

A new Blu-ray will come. Only a matter of time.
There are rumors about a new 4K HD master.

And for that SE would be a Schwarzenegger T-800 head really cool.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I agree with what mosts are saying about inconsistantcy. Anybody that owns most of the horror line figures (freddy, jason, etc) can see what NECA is capable of. I dont understand why the quality of works drops so low on certain lines. And on top of that...yeah they need to make figures that dont break so easily. It seems like every predator I have has frozen joints...some of which Ive broken clean off just barely trying to bend a fricken elbow. NECA needs to be more consistant.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Recent waves from Predator and Terminator have been better in the 'not breaking when you walk past it' department. Of course it'll take a few more waves of this before I start declaring them consistent in the positive way.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

It would be cool if Neca reproduce all Predator and Terminator figures with a consistent good quality an Paint Job.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

It would be cool if Neca was a magical space monster from outer space.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

This space Monster brings possible a way better Quality than Neca now.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Personally, I think NECA does a fantastic job for a $15 figure.

Sure, if you have the opportunity it's better to search through the figures to find the one that has the best paint or fewest flaws, but that's usually not too difficult. I've always been very satisfied and very happy.

I just wish they'd do more 12" versions to go with their 7" line.
