Re: NECA 12inch Terminator2 discussion (pics on page4)

nice! since it has predrilled holes where do they sell stands for 12"

Re: NECA 12inch Terminator2 discussion (pics inside)

NECA's looks nothing like Arnold. Any pics of it without the glasses?

:horror What??? Are you serious?

Also I agree with whoever said the SS figure's hair looks slicked back rather than spiked. I knew there was something else wrong with it other than the tightness at the back and sides. I can't applaud NECA enough for finally being the ones to get his T2 hair exactly right.

And Darkside, thanks for posting these pics. This guy is probably my favourite Terminator figure ever, and amongst my favourite figures full-stop.

Re: NECA 12inch Terminator2

I know I banged on about how I'm not really into these types of figures in this size, but as the 7" version was so good, having a 12" version can't be bad, can it? :D

I might make an exception!

To an expensive place this might take you. I started in 1/6th by buying...the Sideshow T-800 as a matter of fact..or maybe it was the Hot Toys Ed-209..but anyway once I got a 1/6th representation of Terminator I felt I had to have a 1/6th representation of Robocop, Predator, Aliens and so on and so on. Then I branched into the superhero genre when TDK came out. And its just non-stop since.

I have a few 1/6th scale figures, mate. I feel i've given off the wrong impression. When I said "I know I banged on about how I'm not really into these types of figures in this size," I meant the Neca / McFarlane type. I love fully poseable 1/6th figures made by sideshow, hot toys etc

If I get this I will have to add some brown streaks into his hair ......... its too black. I think it turned out pretty nice though .................... the skins texture doesn't look good either but its NECA so .......

I just wonder what my local guy will charge for this.

Oh right. In that case I'm the same. I have only the McFarlane 12" Robocop as its the only with any attempt at battle damage. The Pescadero T-800 and Final Battle T-800 will be only my second and third all-plastic, lower end 12"ers.

edit- makes sense now that you mention it - this is a primarily 1/6th collecting forum, what would you be doing here otherwise

I'll give you that alright. Wouldn't say its black, but a lighter brown would have been better.

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

I finally scored the two 7" versions - had to pass on the endo since I got the Cult Classic one with that uber cool stand....

Overall, sculpts are awesome; paint apps are average to decent at best.

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

Can't complain with the paint tbf. Clothes are clean, neat, flesh tones on the man or machine arms are great, paint apps on the face are solid.

It's a lot better than the previous neca figure I bought, the resident evil 5 chris redield!

Re: NECA 12inch Terminator2 discussion (pics on page4)

this looks great IMO and for the price it's worth getting IMO. I'm not saying it's the best Arnold likeness or anything but it looks good :D

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

Probably won't be the right size though. The SS figure is bigger than your average 1/6th.

Yeah I immediately noticed their proportion differences with the 7" .......... if any of you have the new MOTU figures (7" as well) you'll know what I mean.

Re: NECA 12inch Terminator2 discussion (pics on page4)

It looks alright, nothing too exciting though. I am more interested to see that battle damaged version, That looks hella cool

Thing is when McFarlane only did the battle-damage version I really noticed the lack of an all-arnie undamaged version just as I would if NECA were doing the same. Thankfully thats not the case and NECA are doing virtually every possible version.

The battle damage looks very unique on this version with the missing arm and all. You can tell neca is going all out for fans on this run...

Re: NECA 12inch Terminator2 discussion (pics on page4)

how come it was decided that the 12" not have bullet hole rips in this shirt?
