it was bad for me, i hated it

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

Yeah well same diff, what 10 year old is gonna be buying a ticket to an Alien prequel? This flick was always gonna be rated R IMO :cuckoo:

No it wasn't. It was going to be PG-13.

Only lately did Fox allow the R-Rating.

And it's not the 10 year olds that are the problem. 13-16 year olds. They'd ruin the flick with their talking crap.

That's an assumption. Haven't seen anything official stating that it WAS PG-13 and that Fox decided to change it to R. From everything I've seen, no one knew for sure. It was all speculation and in the end, Fox decided on an R rating. Unless I missed some article!?

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

^ Because they don't care about it.

If they cared about it, hell yeah. But they wont. They'll sit, and text, and talk, and blabber, and hopefully an Alien will rape them.

Sorta.

I forgot where the article was, but Fox wanted this to be a PG-13 a while back. Because of the huge budget.

They filmed both versions to be safe.

No one was editing anything, but they did want to play it safe.

...every article hinted at it being PG-13 until around a few months ago.

If they want to see it. :lol

Most kids want to go to the theater to talk and text.

Movie? Uh...durr??

And you're thinking Fox is retarded for almost making this flick PG-13?

Did you forget AvP? :lol

Again, that's speculation. Not officially from Fox. So it's not a fact.

See, that's what I mean. That's different than "It WAS going to be PG-13 but then Fox decided recently to make it R". That's wrong. Based on what I read, and based on what you wrote it sounds like Fox wasn't sure which way they were gonna go and were waiting for feedback (audience/internet) on it before making a final decision.

IMO..

Lukewarm to Cold = PG-13
Overwhelming Support = R

And so far, I haven't seen anything negative about it. So the R rating doesn't surprise me. But again, this film was never rated PG-13.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

AvP was M15 here in Oz :dunno

Whether they should have made the AvPin the first place is definately up for debate :rotfl Can I get a 'Brothers Strauss' up in this thread or what :rotfl ____ing Nickleback music videos people - Nickleback videos.

Fox WANTED it to be PG-13.

It was never rated R, or PG-13 until today...but, the point everyone was making was, Fox did want to make it PG-13. Scott found a solution for the best of both worlds.

And Fox decided to let Scott do what he wanted.
