Alien 3 is canon. And will always be canon.

Plus, the only way an Aliens sequel could work, would be have the cheesy "The Alien survived the blast a LV-426"....however, if someone really, really good did that story line, and it worked, i'd be OK with it.

I just go with what I call my personal canon. Thats Alien 1-3. Hopefully I'll be adding Prometheus to that.

Any film I don't like I disregard and pretend it didn't happen in the given universe. T3, Die Hard 4 and the Star Wars prequels are other films that I throw out along with Alien Resurrection and the AvPs.

I agree. I consider the Alien story wrapped up with Alien 3. Resurrection can be easily dismissed as for me it added nothing to the story. AVP films were utter garbage. I already am adding Prometheus to the Alien story as from everything I have seen it looks like a quality film and really adds to the overall Alien story. In fact, it looks to enhance the original films and add depth to the underlying story which is actually pretty simple when you think about it. One month!!!!!

I agree, Alien Res can be thrown out (Shame really they had a decent jump point with the cloning idea) But this movie looks to be a great addition to the THREE movie franchise of ALIEN

Aliens hasn't aged well for me personally. Maybe it's because so many other things ripped it off afterwards.

I really only enjoy the first film at this point.

I for some reason thought the first Alien was boring. That said I saw Aliens first as a youngster. After watching that, Alien always....well bored me.

Give me more of the Marines blasting away.
