We know there's a basement full of eggs on the Derelict. I'm shocked people think for even a moment we're not going to see them.

They might be taller, or have wings, or be unique in some way. But they will be recognizably Giger's Alien.

Man, I can't take all these films.

I got goosebumps from hearing that "noise"/theme from the original Alien trailer and the title slowly forming. I hope this scares the ____ out of me like Alien did. Can't wait.

Just seen the full trailer, although I would recommend waiting for tomorrow to see it in HD, not wobbly handycam, but there are some pretty good money shots of the Space Jockey Spaceship

Woah, in that third sneak peek you can clearly see some Human aggressively leaping at another..but his face looks weird. Deformed, alienish...

He has to hid the fact it's a prequel. Alien is now considered a horrible franchise.

2 Fantastic films, 1 OK one (IMO) and 3 terrible films.

The public doesn't consider Alien a quality series any more.

But any fan of the series already knows it's a prequel.

I've always thought it was a prequel but Ridley still claims it isn't which I find funny, the trailer pretty much proves it.

As for the other Alien movies, I agree that Alien and Aliens were great and if you watch the extended version of Alien3 it is a much better film, Alien Resurrection was a bad movie and probably should not have been made and I consider the AvP films as there own separate franchise.

Paul W.S. Anderson needs to stop touching franchises that I like, first he ruins Resident Evil (though I still watch them cause Milla Jovovich is in them) than AvP and now The Three Musketeers. And besides AvP:R what have the brothers Strause done.

Skyline. Which was one of the worst movies ever made.

AvP is pretty amazing when you compare it with Requiem. But only if you compare.

So that's why Skyline sucked.
I think (aside from bad directors) AvP:Rs biggest problem was it was impossible to see anything it was so dark though with a good HD screen and a good Blu-Ray player and the Extreme
(that term is so overused) Unrated Edition you can at least see whats going on.

I think Alien 3 is a great film personally. Not a hair on Alien or Aliens but still a worthy addition to the franchise. The only thing that bothers me now is the outdated cgi but I've seen it that many times I know to expect it.
With Resurrection honestly I like it also , compared to the other three , it's terrible I suppose but the way they were going with the whole idea that movie could have turned out a lot worse.

I love how they all have different color tones , feels and atmospheres. 4 great directors each had a shot at this franchise all bringing there own feel. It's sort of a shame Ridley is coming back in that aspect. It sort of ruins that different director quadrilogy but it's worth it of course to finally get this prequel of sorts.

Agreed on all points, but one: I wouldn't say Ridley returning is a shame, since I doubt anyone will ever count Prometheus as an official part of the Alien series. While it's obviously a prequel, the chances of seeing a pentology box set 10 years from now are slim. Then again, it is Fox we're talking about...
