People act like they're rebooting ANH Vader. Apples and Oranges here. If people are selling their ANH Vader because of this one, why have an ANH Vader in the first place?

Some people only want one representation of a character.

Exactly. And ANH Vader was the only game in town so even if one preferred ESB/ROTJ, it would've been better than nothing. Overall I agree with the majority here, though. If I had the original, I'd keep it for display with the ANH stuff and buy the new Vader for seperate display.

Okay, so this should be my final ANH Vader; I just put the TonyMeis Cape and Tabbard set on him

All told I did the following modifications to him:
Adjusted angle of the dome
Lowered the height using adbomen swap
Swapped the cape and Tabbars for the TonyMeis version

So not a lot of work and now I think he's pretty spot-on

Thanks, the Sideshow Vader is impressive out of the box... but I think can be damn awesome with just a few tweaks.

TonyMeis made them, but the first run is closed. I imagine another one might open up eventually. Really great quality!

I'm hoping to get in on an eventual second run, the work on the cape and tabbards is fantastic.

this is more of a "pull my finger" shot............................


looks awesome GB. i've seen some of the custom capes being made and they always had a bluish tint to them but this one looks very black.
and all around fantastic.

Yeah, the material selected really works well... I had the lforigno cape (which I also really like) but the issue was the cape did not match the tabbards, and the tabbards from sideshow did not hang very well.

So when this project came up I jumped at getting a matching set.
