Sideshow posts or says something about this years reveal for VADER and then mentions the light up lightsabres they are trying...just enough to keep me from wandering over to Ebay...but SDCC can't get here soon enough....

Yeah, I ran across an online store selling one MIB for $600.00. Even if a new Vader weren't coming for another 10 years, there's just no chance I'd pay those kinds of prices. Seems ludicrous.

I could care less if the 1/6 lightsaber lights up. The clear, color lightsaber pole has never bothered me.

Back to Vader, after the mods I did this figure is one of my favorites. I can't imagine Sideshow or Hot Toys topping it for me. Unless the ESB/ROTJ version has a removable helmet with perfect Sebastian Shaw portrait.

How about the Hayden Christensen portrait?

No. Hasn't been going for that since the Medi 2.0 release was announced. 180 to 290 depending on condition. Theres been alot going unsold at 300 NMIB. Theres an EX BiN NIB at 325 and I'm waiting to see if it gets bought since its the Ex version.

Might get it done since its the EX, I've seen the normal version being passed at alot though at that price. Good luck on the sale, its still a rare find and I hope someone grabs it.

Based on what I see in the completed listings...someone might have gotten lucky and got a regular for 100.00 because it was described as a Sith Apprentice version...but the picture shows a regular version Vader.

I also see some Medicoms going for 100.00.

But the cheapest Sideshow Vader I see is 213.60 shipped for a used regular version.

260.00 minimum for an opened exclusive version.


562.00 max for an exclusive in a factory sealed brown shipper.

And these are auctions that ended in a sale.

I have been watching this figure very closely as I needed to replace mine. The prices are still crazy.

I expect them to come down. But they haven't yet...at least, not substantially.

Yeah, you originally said 350 and up depending on version and condition. Again, as you have shown, that time has passed. You may get someone biting at 400 and up just out of sheer stupidity or if they just have to find one in a mailer sealed, but its definitely not the norm anymore.

I did state depending on the version and condition. My bad...I never deal in regular versions.

I try for the Ex versions, but at the price differential these can go for thats not always in some peoples budgets, but the guy selling his Ex above that I mentioned at 325 MIB is still a pretty good deal I would think for all parties concerned. Not as great for the sellers that were selling last fall, but still pretty good with 2 additional Vaders on the horizon.

I get the Ex if its a cool exclusive....the Vader was a must, and the one I'm keeping has been customized to perfection....lol

Yep, no way I'd sell a nicely customized ANH version just because of this new one. I think they really complement each other and it'd be nice for display purposes to keep them both.

Just too expensive now to go back and buy the ANH version on the secondary market and then customize him. Maybe in 3 or 4 years, HT will re-do it and then I'll pounce. Just need to bide my time... *strokes white long-haired lap cat*
