All you guys are just catching on to what King Darkness already knew.

:D

But yeah, Chase did us all a favor on the KP. :D

Like King's! .

:rock :rock :rock

Yup. The groupthink in this thread really produced some amazing Vaders. :rock
Agreed, one of the better threads to ever come out of this forum :lecture
That's right... trying to get the monies :hi5: And it links to my customs page :rock

NOOICE!

MAKE THAT DALLA DALLA!

I was unsure about the KP02, but after thinking on it I decided to just give it a shot. I won't say it's 10x better than the height modded body, but its still a noticeable improvement.

I have one other question about the Kaustic Plastic mod. Do you lose any articulation with the new body at all?

A bit, but not a whole lot. The biggest loss is in the elbow joint, but to be honest the original suit is fairly restrictive and it's not like Vader is an acrobatic character.

I'm really thinking of getting rid of my ANH Vader. Never really liked its huge body, the original cape was never the best (looked more like a toreador cape), and very recently I had an unfortunate experience with a custom cape. I simply don't feel this figure anymore. :( Maybe the new ROTJ version will do the trick.

I switched my Flosi altered SS dome out for the Flosai altered Hasbro dome last night. It's nice to have options. I currently like the Hasbro one better now for some reason. :dunno

Man, I looked at so many screen shots and the EFX Vader Mask promo pics and I really think the Hasbro dome with the SS head is pretty damn close to the real thing. If anything the Hasbro dome is a little narrow at the top when looked at from the side... and there's the widows peak, of course. Outside of that it's as good as we can do.

Nice. :wink1:

I know there's step by step walk throughs around, but it was a small query. :lol

I dremel down all the crap inside the dome, down to nothing. Get some of those Velcro squares, like 1"x1" and black, with the adhesive already on them and some little 1/4" x 1/4" foam squares also with sticky adhesive on them. I slap an entire Velcro square on the back crown of the head area and of course the other side goes into the dome. This is thick enough to give the dome a little bit of space between it and the head. I then cut half of a Velcro strip and run that down the front of the head, but you might need to dremel down the sculpt some in that area so the dome sits closer to the head where it frames the face, or you can use both halves and run them down the sides, kinda like Road Warrior Hawk did his hair, if that reference makes sense. Anyway, the foam is just to add stability to the side of the head. You can then take the helmet off and refutz all you want. Remember to take the adhesive off of one side of the foam. You don't need that to stick to both the head and the dome, just one side will do for stability.
