You can use the one you had, the taliking Vader or the one from the Vader/ Maul 2 pack. They are all the same.

Thanks. I'll have to check and see if I have that Vader helmet someone around here still. I don't think I do, but it's possible

Meh, we all did different mods at different times. I just think the combination of multiple mods have really come together perfectly. Body, dome, cape, matte spray, glove mod, etc. Everyone should have their Vader's looking their best. :lecture

But yeah, Chase did us all a favor on the KP. :D

Like King's! :D

I'm very happy to have contributed my two-cents to many of the recent Vaders here... you guys who PM'd me know who you are. Since VADER is the single most important STAR WARS character, he deserves better than what Sideshow supplied.

A little more money for a great, nearly perfect figure -- priceless.

Now just waiting on those light-up belt boxes.

Hey guys, just wondering what you guys have all done with your original Vader bods? I know I'm working on a few customs that need xtra tall bodies :) just putting It out there

Let me preface, I'm not trying to bash on SS at all, but..... Just think how different our Vader figures are today as opposed to four years ago? There's a lot they got right but so much that they got really wrong. I was fine with the huge 14" figure right out of the box for the most part. Then I modded the dome, then swapped it for a Hasbro one, then modded the body, then bought a new cape and tunic and so on and so on.... Anyway, my point is that I'd love to see a side by side of a stock SS Vader and one of ours now. I think Waller is sending me his to put together so when he does I'll take a few pics. I bet the difference is mind-blowing.

I'm certain of that. It would be fun to see the comparison.

Biggest issues I remember out of the box for me was the cape and tunic material and the dome placement. Height was only an issue relative to other figures but it did bother me.

Rad. I think it will be really interesting to see the two figures side by side. I did something similar with the Gimli figures a few of us made. I think it makes for an interesting picture. You've come a long way baby! :lol

Yeah, nicely put man. :)

I'd be starting from scratch if I decided to go the custom route.. but I'm wondering now if slowly sourcing the right parts & being patient with getting a great figure in the end, really is the way to go for now.

It seems HT will likely be a long way off from making theirs, so yeah.. I don't know. :lol

That's the plan. :yess:

I believe my Sideshow dome was lowered, but I bet you can stuff something under the dome to get it back to its original state for the pictures.
