HT helmet will be $125+ - the figure is $300 plus shipping and the rest just doesn't have the importance of the helmet.

Exactly. That $125ish helmet would completely change the look of the figure. I would argue that for those who are not OCD aficionados like myself, the other parts of the figure would be perfectly fine (except maybe the stock cape and tunic).

I was thinking the same. However, might be cheaper to buy the whole figure.

I bought the mask and helmet off of hurricane. it was made for ANH since the HT version did not look all that well at the time. I might buy pieces and parts to make a whole different level of vader

I want to do the same. I’m pretty content with my SS ANH Vader, but I can’t deny the head on the HT one is pretty darn good. Seems crazy that just the head will be the same price as the full SS figure was! But still, $125 < $300, and I’m not crazy about a lot of little things on the HT Vader, like the awful gloves and the big belly gap.

yeah me to I have a custom pair of gloves coming from hurricane as well so once stuff starts coming in I could put him together. im using an extra belt from the ss dlx vader to go with my custom anh vader. I might buy parts once they start parting them out on TA or EBAY

As much as I think Hot Toys nailed the ANH Vader, I just can't justify spending $300 for an upgrade. Because I already own a Hasbro Talking Vader to use for the helmet, I decided to take out my SS Vader and see how hard it would be to remove the helmet for a potential swap.

Not hard at all as it turns out: the glue on my SS had deteriorated and the helmet was loose in the box! The Fates have decided that I must now do the Hasbro mod. I'll tackle this after Christmas...

Just to clear it up... the pics above are with the SSC Vader using a Three dollar soap dispenser Vader head (from the grocery store) I stuck on there for laughs... but.. as it turns out I think its actually better than the original!!!

I have that piece;spent quite a while trying to adapt it into a reveal set.Couldn't get it to work,but it's a really nice likeness...PS

Well seeing more of Paramore's great photos inspired me to try to take some better and more dramatic shots of my Vader. Although obviously I have nowhere near his skills (or a good enough camera for the job).

Nothing of note on the The soap head Vader that Identifies it...BUT I went back to buy more (From Coles Australia) ..but they were sold out....However they were selling a "Squirting Bath Sponge"...which is the SAME head with a pin holed size hole in the top and no hole in the neck. Same company as the soap.
