Awesome..But to have this look, i'll wait for the PF...
The best three little words one can see:
"Out For Delivery"
You can't lift the shoulder higher than the chest. Even lifting it that high gives me concerns. The arm cannot rotate backwards too far either (getting my Rambo to look like he's pulling an arrow out of his quiver was impossible). You also want to be extremely careful when posing the elbows and you don't want to do this too often either. There's no joint for the elbow. It's a simple metal flange bolted into the upper and lower arm. If you've ever bent a paperclip too much, it's not a stretch to think what'll happen to that elbow flange if you keep posing it often.
It's somewhat achievable (old picture):
Long term, I'd be highly concerned at the stretching of the underarm. If it tears, it'll start where the back connects to the triceps. This is from HT's site and clearly in the instructions, they tell you specifically not to bend the arm like this:
Reminds me of the days when kids would pull a Stretch Armstrong apart.
Because UPS sucks and keeps trying to deliver in the middle of the F'ing day, I can't get this guy until later in the week, when they stop trying to re-deliver while I'm at work.
The same exact thing happened to me, karamazov80.
They tried to deliver my Storm Shadow on Friday and
left a note on the door. UPS usually delivers between
4:00 and 5:00 here, but for some reason, they tried
around 2:15...and the saddest part is: I was home!
I'm not sure how loud he knocked (or if he even did)
but I missed him and had to wait all weekend to get
the figure today. It's sad, but the months we wait
for a figure to be released from the minute it's
announced seem like a walk in the park compared
to the days we have to wait for UPS to deliver it.
Personally I hate these type of bodies, if I don't want visible joints, I'll buy a statue.
You guys can always send Sideshow the sig waiver form when you get the 15 day notice. That is what I do. It just isn't worth the extra $3 to make my package a pain in the neck to deliever. Why would I want to pay more to not be able to get my package as easily? Besides the 'orders over $100' thing is outdated IMO. That was back when 12" figures were $40, not $120. They really need to bump it up to $200 now (the price needing for an automatic siganture, not the 12" figure price ).
Not for me. I initially scheduled a "same day pick-up" on Friday, not realizing they make you pick it up after 7:30. I had to leave town, so. . .couldn't do it. Tried to re-schedule for today, they tell me they can only do the hold that way one time, even if you cancel it. Now, I have to wait until they stop trying to re-deliver and pick it up during "regular business hours," of 8-6 after Wednesday. You guys do realize that pick-up's open until late, like 7-8pm. You can call and have them hold the package and pick it up after work. Seems like the extra little inconvenience would be worth the stress it'd alleviate.
When SSC sent me my first Anakin Skywalker Excl. I didn't require a signature and although I was at home all day and nearby the front door, the figure never showed up. I looked at the tracking number and Fed Ex said they delivered it. After calling both Fed Ex and SSC over the next week, it never showed up, SSC had to send out a replacement this time with a signature request. You guys can always send Sideshow the sig waiver form when you get the 15 day notice.
