The bow doesn't actually fire arrows. The swords are plastic too. That is pretty inaccurate.

I threw my bow in the trash, thinking that would solve the problem, but then I realized he was incomplete and worthless, and threw him in the trash. Then, I just threw myself in the trash for being stupid enough to live in a world where such a horrible figure could even exist.

Why does God hate us?

After reading this I'm now forced to throw myself in the trash. :slap What a chain reaction of FAIL. :banghead

Left or right handed bow doesn't matter to Storm Shadow, he'll fire that F-^^er on target every time. :D

I thought it looked better. The promo made it look, as Irish said, like a botched Jango sculpt. The way it looks now, he looks more Japanese.

Actually if I had any complaints about Stormy, it's the unmasked head, the left eye is higher on the head making it appear way too asymmetrical then it needs to be. It's almost like the newly cast heads are being pulled out of the molds improperly.

The masked head (the more important one) however looks symmetrical

TIME OUT... Love the bow debate, but I've read too many pages (at least 3) without a single new pic of storm shadow... Anyone???

star wars nerds are special. :D

that said, gijoe is different than SW in that there is no "screen accurate" source material for die hard fans to scrutinize over and over.

That's really the nice thing about GI Joe. These really become SS renditions of these classic characters and in that there's more freedom for them to tweak each one as they see fit. I will always love Star Wars as well as many other properties that are also 1/6 scale figures like Indy, DC and Marvel etc, but it's nice to have a respite from "Vader helmet issues" or "the Jokers coat isn't quite the right shade of purple"..... ^^^^, to be honest, if you want to hear some over the top whining and ^^^^^ing go to the Hot Toys Joker DX thread. It looks amazing from the handfull of photos that have been posted but there are HUNDREDS of pages of crap written about everything from the pattern of the Jokers tie to box size to the design of the fabric on his shirt.... did you guys know that the HT Ironman Mark 1 head sculpt doesn't quite capture a perfect likeness of RDJ? I'm so disappointed.

"TDK Batman's cowel isn't wide enough to be screen accurate!"
"Two bolts on the MKII head were a fraction of a millimeter off."
"Stormtroopers aerators are too small."
"Indy's coat zipper is missing the correct amount of teeth."

It's this type of ^^^^ we can do without in the Joe threads.

I actually don't care about people pointing out issues at all. It gives me more knowledge about my figure, and I'm not afraid to have that. But yeah, going on for 15 pages about how one of Joker's buttons is wrong or his shoulder is slightly too high or his hair is out of place or whatever does get tedious. I pretty much stay away from the "Big Chap" thread because all it is is one big complaint-fest. Maybe it should be, but it's no fun to read.

meanwhile, back on the ranch...

Quick question for those of you that have received your Stormshadow; how tight are the limbs on the pro body? The legs on my Stormshadow are very loose and easily flop around. The figure can't stand on its own without the stand, even without the quiver attached. I really like this figure, but the flimsy limbs are very frustrating and I'm considering sending it back for a replacement.

Mine is very loose as well. This has been my recent experience with Sideshow figures, though. My Stormtrooper was loose, my Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander are pretty loose, my Indiana Jones is pretty loose. They aren't quite True Types yet, so I don't know if you can expect to get a stiffer replacement. My one exception is Vader, who is pretty stiff for whatever reason.

Having just got both Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow today, Snake Eyes is by far looser then Storm Shadow. SS isn't perfect though, the body could still be tightened up a bit more but SE is almost impossible to stand on his own.

Take a couple rubber bands and wrap them around the inside of the leg joints. That should help him stand up and still along for movement.

absolutely. I am just pointing out the difference between SW and GJ line in term of screen accuracy and such. :D

Couple more pics I took last night. I like the sleeveless look, but haven't decided how I'll keep him.

Apologies to the bow experts if I'm using it incorrectly there.

Ok, I'm fairly new to 12" figures. I ordered all of the LOTR figs but didn't take them out of their boxes until Snake Eyes was released earlier this year. I had two Star Wars figs, and have all the Joes released so far, and some HT figs. I don't customize or kitbash...that being said, Storm Shadow's unmasked head just pops off with little effort, right? i just don't want to do any unneccessary damage.
