Then why have you taken such offense to someone pointing it out? Seriously, one guy said something was inaccurate. Did you feel the world was going to end if he brought it to someone's attention, so you felt it was your duty to tell him to shut up? It's not like 48 of the 49 pages was complaining like the Star Wars threads. *high five*

:lol all this in a f'n TOY thread...

Yeah. I thought it was a toy thread too, but apparently it's a don't talk about the toy if you don't agree with thenammagazine thread.

Take the nitpicky bull^^^^ where it belongs: https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9
Bye! :wave

Nitpicking about a bow is being a caca IMO.I swear Some people here are nitpicking more more about the figures just cause they are trying to justify the fact that they cant afford this hobby anymore...Poor people should stop buying Sideshow's products and stick with Hasbro, Mcf, neca and crap like that.

A f'n bow, I mean ,come on...:rolleyes::duh

I don't expect perfection. That's why I'm not boycotting the thing. And it doesn't hurt a thing to point stuff out so people can alter it to make it look just a tiny bit better. I personally don't care about some of the things people mod on their figures, but I don't go around telling them it's not important, so they should just shut up about it.

If the first guy that noticed the bow hadn't said anything I probably wouldn't have noticed until I got it in hand. And while it's not a big deal to everyone it's something I can go ahead and plan to fix, so I'm appreciative that he brought it to my attention beforehand. It's not like there was pages and pages of people saying the same thing over and over again like the Star Wars board.

And it's not that I can't afford the hobby. I enjoy doing mods, and this gives me something to do. If there's a little something I can do to make the figure a little better in my eyes then good. That's part of the enjoyment of the hobby for me. There's a difference between whining about an inaccuracy and pointing it out so it can be fixed.

I think you guys have been hanging in the Star Wars board too long, and you've gotten used to everything being complaints.

I'm glad people pointed out things like the bow and the lack of tattoo. Those are things I can go ahead and fix. Also glad people are trying out things like muscle bodies, even though I think if I went the v1 route I'd either use a regular body or sleeves.

Still, no one is complaining about how terrible Sideshow is for omitting things or not being perfect. Just suggestions for alterations. Unlike the Star Wars crew that are cancelling the fifteen Sand Troopers they had ordered because the soles of the boots aren't screen accurate. Some people like to complain about things that are wrong, and some people like to fix them, and I see a lot more people fixing things they don't like in the Joe boards than other places. Just look at the Snake Eyes threads.

What does it hurt for people to point out flaws? It isn't like it's going to make the rest of us dislike the figure any more.

Besides, if the Joes ever taught us anything, it is that knowing is half the battle! Well, that and that Spirit is an equal to Storm Shadow in hand-to-hand combat.

Notice we don't chicken little it though. As far as coupstair's post, it read more like an OMG Sideshow FAIL!!!!:

... major technical error in the photos with the compound bow. hands should be switched for the handing of the bow. was this a sideshow mistake?

The use of the word "major" implies that it's crucial. I see it more as a minor oversight, or as most of us see it, a "who the ^^^^ cares," than something that would be considered a "major technical error." Something like that would've been making him a different ethnicity, or not including his ninjato, etc. It's posts like coupstair's that incite the Star Wars douchebags, one of which is lurking already, to start with pointing out all the minuscule bull^^^^ inconsistencies. Let alone the post was made by someone who doesn't even have and most likely won't even buy the figure in the first place.

I admit, I only read his post once, but when I read it the first thing that popped into my head was, "That is a major technical error as far as bow handling goes." Then when you said he was talking out of his ass, I jumped in to explain why he was right. Not that it was a major problem by any stretch of the imagination as far as the figure goes, but it was indeed the incorrect way to shoot a bow.

This, in my opinion, again referencing the Marines thread, equates to those guys pointing out something like the digital readout on the pulse rifles being white instead of red like they should be. Those guys are pointing it out to bring it to everyone's attention, so it can be fixed if someone so chooses. Unlike the Star Wars guys that complain because it's not sheer perfection out of the box.

I have nothing against any of you guys, and I want to apologize if I said anything that rubbed you the wrong way. But there's the bow. If you don't mind it, that's fine. But if you care about fixing the little details on your figs now you know.

Choose your sides, fellas. You're either with us Joe fans, or you're with the douchebags :rock :lol

Well, I've been a Joe fan since childhood. On the flipside, I've only been a casual Star Wars fan for about five or six years, and I really can't stand all the sub-groups of fans (OT purists, PT apologists etc.) and how insane they can be, so Joe for me.

star wars nerds are special. :D

that said, gijoe is different than SW in that there is no "screen accurate" source material for die hard fans to scrutinize over and over.

We have 4 sources of. . .er, "source material" way I see it--1) card art; 2) toys; 3) cartoon; 4) comic

So we could go for "screen accuracy" if we wanted to.

I threw my bow in the trash, thinking that would solve the problem, but then I realized he was incomplete and worthless, and threw him in the trash. Then, I just threw myself in the trash for being stupid enough to live in a world where such a horrible figure could even exist.

Why does God hate us?
