The original is still my favorite :)

I know it's a toy. And I will enjoy it when I get mine. Just pointing out that there is, in fact, a technical error as the other guy pointed out and you vaguely denied.

I didn't "vaguely deny" anything. What I meant to say, a bit more politely was that he's talking out his ass and he should wait until the figure arrives because...

i don't see the problem with the bow. it looks to me like it is set up to be held with the figures right hand and drawn with the left. the sight and arrow guide/holder thingy seem to support this.

Why should he wait to get the figure when he can tell from the pics?

And just because someone without knowledge of bows thinks it looks right doesn't mean it is. I person without knowledge of shapes can say a triangle looks like a circle to them, and they would be wrong. If you'd read the posts by devilof76 and myself where we plainly explained why it's incorrect maybe you would understand. The simple fact is, judging from pics of the retail product, he has a right handed bow, but draws it with his left hand which is technically incorrect, and the fact that it's a toy doesn't make it any less incorrect regardless of how you feel about the matter.

Maybe next time you should fact check before you tell someone to "stop talking out of their ass."

Did you even order this?

I LOVE this figure..but wasn't as happy with the unmasked head as it didn't look as cool as the promo photos showed it.

That's fine with me as his masked head represents his true face to me.

I thought it looked better. The promo made it look, as Irish said, like a botched Jango sculpt. The way it looks now, he looks more Japanese.

Yes. I did.

 Personally, I'd wait until I got it before racking Sideshow and draw and quartering them over something as stupid as the sight on a bow. Or you could always go and count Stormtrooper teeth with the douches in the SW threads. :huh If the bow is "inaccurate," I think nitpicking a figure based on that is pretty petty.

Just got mine at work today, but will have to wait until i get home to open it up. That said, even though we know we have the Cobra Officer and Duke on the way, it's time to let us know who the next figure is, Sideshow. Hopefully a new announcement will come later in the month during Spooktacular.

Right. If anyone is looking for Sideshow crucifixion, the place to look is the Sandtrooper thread.

:lol I'm guilty of bashing the Sandtrooper a bit, but those things happen when you fail to meet expectations. Storm Shadow seems to exceed expectations in just about every way.

"...you could always go and count Stormtrooper teeth with the douches in the SW threads."

That is funny!

There's still people complaining about the way the Stormtrooper helmet looks...much less the number of teeth. To me it looks like a Stormtrooper. Bad ass. :rock

Again, if you would take time to comprehend what you read you'd understand that we also both said we weren't holding it against Sideshow in the least. And I still see no point in holding my comments until I have it in hand. Unless Sideshow somehow corrects the sights and arrow rests on the bows that have already been packaged I don't see how it's going to be any less inaccurate just because it's in my hands.

And I hardly think anyone has taken this to the level of Star Wars-dom. No one is screaming, "Oh my god! It looks nothing like the proto. It's not screen accurate. I can't believe SS is charging $110 for this when they can't even get this one tiny, esoteric feature right. This one minuscule oversight makes the figure worth no more than $60 in my book. Hot Toys would do so much better." Is this tiny detail incorrect? Yes, it is. Should it, or will it stop anyone from buying one? Absolutely not.

There's nothing wrong with pointing out an inaccuracy, and comparing it to the condemnation some of the Star Wars fans hurl at Sideshow is just ridiculous. Just because someone points out a small detail doesn't mean they think the entire figure is by some means worthless due to the fact. Is the SS figure awesome? Yes. Is the bow inaccurate? Yes. Does the detail make the figure any less awesome? No.

By pointing out the small problem with the bow it simply brought it to the attention of people that do care about such tiny details, and they could fix it if they saw fit. The intention was not, "OMG, the figure is ruined. Don't buy it." Just go look at the Building your Marines CORRECTLY thread. There are so many small, innacurate details on those figs that have been corrected in that thread it's mind boggling.

I have no problem bringing to attention a small detail, unless the intention is just to demean the product, and I didn't sense any hostility in the post of the person that brought it to everyone's attention. It was more of a, "Hey, guys. I noticed..." kind of post. And then for some reason you felt it necessary to tell him to stop talking out of his ass, even though he was correct in his observation. I still don't understand why you took such a defensive stance to begin with. I do know that if someone pointed out a small mistake just to bring it to people's attention I would either a) think, "Okay. I'll look into correcting that," or b) think, "Okay, but it doesn't bother me enough to worry about it." I definitely, however, would not jump in and say, "You don't know what you're talking about. You don't even have the figure in hand, and you couldn't possibly tell what the figure is like just by looking at pictures of the figure taken by people that already have it." And even if I did tell someone they didn't know what they were talking about, and then it was proven that I was the one that was wrong, I would at least admit that I was mistaken.

I think this whole thing is not even about the bow anymore, since it's been proven that it's technically inaccurate, and really more about your whole, "I don't care, and no one else should, so you need to shut up" attitude. Surprise! There are other people here that might actually care. To be honest, if you had just said, "Oh. I see. No big deal." instead of basically saying, "Who cares? You can shut up and leave." after someone explained why it was inaccurate the whole bow discussion would most likely be buried now.
