What were the hunt prizes for 04-06?

For those who may be new to Spooktacular, here's some background.

During the first three years Spook ('04-'06), Sideshow created an elaborate scavenger hunt that lasted the full length of the event. Each day clues would be buried SOMEWHERE on the site, and it was up to us to find them and assemble them like pieces of a puzzle. Once you found all the clues and solved the puzzle, you had a chance to win a great prize. Unfortunately, during the '07 and '08 events the hunt was MIA .

This year, though, it looks like it will be back!

My only fear is that there are so many more Freaks this year, it will be difficult to keep some less-experienced members from blabbing the clue locations, and spoiling the fun.

You should delete that post. It's oxymoronic! You don't want newbs blurting out answers, helping others and "spoiling the fun" .... but your whole post ... um.... yeah....

Huh? Not even close, "Bub" (may I call you Bub? ). There isn't a single thing in my post that won't be on Sideshow's Spook home page within the next two days. All I did was explain the basic framework of the contest. You don't think Sideshow will do that for everyone?

It is great fun! And I'm trying to remember whether it was "first correct answer wins" or "winner selected from all correct entries before X time" in the past, but I just don't remember (probably because I never won ).

I'm sure we'll get all the gory details from Sideshow by Thursday.

This might be way after the fact but I broke out my Spook sweater today for the first time and its ^^^^ing fantastic. The softest damn thing I've worn in a while....well done.

If Dusty is answering questions, will there be Spooktacular variants of any kind during this celebration?

For the newbies... Spooktacular is crazy. There's no telling WHEN an item will pop up for sale or a new item for pre-order/in-stock order... could be 9 AM, could be 9 PM or could be 2 in mornin'! That's why you may see people saying 'Sleep is for the Weak'...

I probably won't win it either but it'll be a ton of fun...I think a scavenger hunt for clues is a great idea!!

Because it's on of the most fun games Spooktacular has to offer.

You get what you put in to Spook. If you play the games and (virtually) run around like a crazy person, you're bound to have a ton of fun. If you sit on the forums and wait for hints and answers, you're going to get bored quick and spam the bored with "I can't believe you guys got me all worked up for this." type messages.
