So I just noticed and realized due to comments in chat that I have missed the gollum contest...I know the word is on another site but is there a clue to what word I should be looking for?? I didn't see a clue on the contest page...

Great. Another repeat winner, while we sit here with our rocks.

And I was almost there, too.

FTF awesomeness continues!!!!!!!!!! :yess:

I think this is the 5th overall contest I won, but two of them were for relatively small items. I wouldn't have even tried for Luke, but I've wanted the Jedi Luke PF for a long time, so I thought I should give it a shot. I'm amazed I got it.

None of us are amazed at all. ;) Congrats Mr. 5-time 2010 Spook winner! Did I call that ____ or what? :huh:lol

Congrats Icruise! Where were the clues? Was the first in news or on the product?

I don't recall all of the clues exactly, but the first clue was "he is sometimes referred to as the 'tip of the spear.'" So I did some googling. First I thought it was Master Chief from Halo, but then I figured out that it was Duke from GI Joe. I went to the Duke figure product page, and the next clue was in a review. It said something like "He can be found at Winchesters" so I typed "Winchester" in the Sideshow search engine and found Ed and Shaun from Shaun of the Dead, and Shaun had another clue in the reviews. Something about "green" which seemed to be an obvious Hulk reference. So I found the Hulk page, and the last one ("brains") was in an image in the gallery.

A couple of tips: I always make sure I have browser tabs open to the relevant sites like Google, Sideshow, and IMDB. And in this case I typed out the proper format for the answer in a text editor ahead of time so I wouldn't waste precious seconds trying to format the answers. Also, being able to open multiple pages in tabs is a good skill to have when searching for something.

The clue to the location of the code word is in the title of the contest itself. One might even say it was torn from the pages of the web itself.

Thanks, I still don't think I'll ever be that fast. My brain is just mush after work.
